"What should we watch?" Zendaya questioned as you entered the living room, a freshly made bowl of popcorn in your hands as you carefully sat beside her.

Every Friday, you would come over to your girlfriend's house to have a movie night. It was a special tradition you both had created very early on in your relationship, and you both took it very seriously.

"If you don't have any ideas, then I've got the perfect one!" she exclaimed before you could respond. You rolled your eyes and dropped your forehead onto her shoulder.

"Please don't say it—"

"Harry Potter!" she cheered and lifted her long arms into the air. You groaned and threw your head back against the couch cushions. It's not that you hated the Harry Potter movies—you practically grew up on those films—it was that you had a weekend long marathon of all the movies just last week. You needed a short break before watching them all over again.

Zendaya didn't seem to think so. She was already scrolling through the catalog on her tv, searching for the first movie. Conveniently, she already had the whole series saved and ready to play. You grasped her wrist gently, forcing her to turn her gaze away from the tv and back at you.

"God, not Harry Potter again." you could see her gape and to prevent her from arguing, you continued, "Babe, you know I love watching those movies with you but we've gotta have some variety, just a little break in between!"

Zendaya huffed and pouted, turning her head away from you dramatically. "And what do you suggest?" she spoke sassily, still facing the wall, "Another one of your chick flicks and rom-coms?"

You gasped and pulled the bowl of popcorn towards your chest. "You said you love Clueless!"

Zendaya crossed her arms, still refusing to look at you. You glanced at the coffee table in front of you and eyed your girlfriend's pair of round, thin glasses. Maybe she'd been planning to watch those movies long before she'd even asked you.

"I do love Clueless, but whenever we watch that you insist we have to watch all the others. Legally Blonde, 13 Going on 30, A Cinderella Story, 10 Things I Hate About You—"

"Do not shame my comfort movies!" you exclaimed and tugged onto the throw blanket that you were sharing with her. You heard her scoff before finally turning back towards you, just to tug back on the blanket.

"What do you mean? You shamed mine first!" Zendaya shouted. Noon's ears perked up, and he trotted from his comfy dog bed over to the couch, where he sat at your feet watching his parents playfully argue.

"I did no such thing! All I said was that we should take a break—"

"You're breaking up with me?!" Daya raised her voice exaggeratedly. You stared at her in shock and spluttered for a few seconds before you both threw your heads back in laughter. Noon was yapping and wagging his tail as Zendaya clutched her chest and your head dropped onto her shoulder once again. The echoes of your laughs lasted for a straight minute before they died down.

Zendaya stared down at your blissful face with admiration as the TV room quieted down and you both sat peacefully in peace.

In a swift motion, she nudged your head up so your eye-line was level with hers before leaning down slowly, teasing you as she inched her lips closer and closer to yours in a leisurely manner.

"For someone who hates cheesy romantic movies, you sure do kiss like the characters in them." you pointed out, furrowing your eyebrows at your girlfriend, who simply rolled her eyes.

"Just shut up and kiss me already!"

You smirked at your girlfriend's small plead and closed the gap between you both, only to pull away seconds later.

"She said, like every rom-com character ever."
