Chapter 12- Best birthday ever!

[ Time skip: 10 days later]

Finally! I'm 18 today! Yes, today's my birthday. 25th of June, is my day ( lol, mine too). I was wished by Jungkook first, of course we live together, followed by many calls including the boys and some people whom I don't even remember. 

"Happiest birthday bestie!" Jungkook said giving me a tight

"How many times are you gonna wish me huh? It's the 5th time!" I said

"So what? I'm gonna wish my bestie all day!" Jungkook said and I just chuckled

We both got dressed up for classes. On our way to class, I was wished by many students. Soon I saw BTS and before I could say anything they all rushed towards me and gave me a group hug and wished me.

"Happy birthday, Ara!!!" Jhope said

"Happiest birthday pretty girl" Namjoon said

"Happy 18, Ara" Suga said

"Finally! Happy Birthday, one and only Kim Ara" Jin said

 I chuckled at their cuteness and hugged them back. Taehyung gave me a quick peck on the lips and everyone started making a 'oh' sound and I just blushed.

"Ara, we have a special guest" Jin said and I looked at him with confused. Just then, Jimin came out from behind the wall and I was so shocked that I couldn't form words but just hugged him.

"When did you come back? Why didn't you tell me?" I asked as I was way too happy

"I wanted to surprise you. I missed you, happy birthday Ara" Jimin said and I thanked him. 

"So, I suppose you guys are together now?" Jimin asked pointing at us

"Uh, yes, we are" Taehyung said and I started blushing. We all laughed, talked stuffs until it was time for classes. I gave Taehyung a goodbye kiss and waved the others goodbye. Cha Young made my day much better. During the lunchtime, I was surprised to know that Taehyung left early today. I tried calling him, texted him but he didn't respond to any. I removed all negative thoughts from mind and decided to enjoy with Cha Young and the boys because I trusted Taehyung, and I knew that he will come back. Keeping a smile on my face, I continued interacting with the others. While we were busy talking, my phone kept buzzing. I opened it and immediately a smile crept up on my face. It was from my beloved boyfriend

Why did he wanted to suddenly meet up at Han river? I was happy and confused at the same time. "Guys, I'll have to leave see you guys later" I said and they nodded. I bid them goodbye and left. I took a taxi to Han river. After 20 minutes, I finally reached. I searched for Taehyung and saw him standing by the river. I smiled and went to him. I stood next to him and admired his features.

"Taehyung, why did you leave? Everyone was-" before I could complete he spoke

"Ara, let's break up" he said with a straight face as if it was nothing, while it felt like my world stopped. I couldn't form words but just stare at him hoping he was just joking

"Tell.... me you're....joking.. This isn't true is it?" I said as my voice started to break

"I'm not. Let's breakup" He replied in a cold voice

"Then why did you beat Jimin when he liked me, why did you spend time with me? why did you ask me to be your girlfriend? why did you say you will be with me forever!" I yelled at him

"If you like Jimin that much then go to him, I don't care. We're done" He said

"Taehyung, at least give me a reason.. please don't do this" I said while tears rolled down my cheeks. 

"We're over. Tell the others and yourself that I'm leaving Seoul" he said and left. 

"Thank you for making this day the best birthday ever! I'll never forget this! I hate you, Kim Taehyung! I freaking hate you! I regret falling for you!" I yelled while I continued sobbing.

 That was the last time I ever saw him. I still couldn't believe that he would do something like this. The times we spent flashed in my mind. We were so happy. This is not the Taehyung I know. It looked someone else was playing with his mind and making him say all those things. I continued sobbing looking down, when someone hugged me. I looked up to see Jimin looking at me.

"What... are you doing here?" I asked while crying

"I followed you. It was unusual for Taehyung to leave like this and then you. He shouldn't have done that. He shouldn't have" Jimin said and hugged me tighter while I continued to cry.

[Meanwhile]

"Good job. Now leave Seoul my tomorrow and don't return. Your dad would have agreed by now or he might be dead" a man, face covered with a cap and mask

"You're going to pay for what you've done" Taehyung said

"Yah! Little punk! It's called taking revenge" he said and smirked

"I'm going to get you someday. You took away Ara from me" Taehyung said

"Yah! You want me to kill her? No right? then take this tickets and leave" he handed over the tickets and left. Taehyung broke down, he didn't wanted to leave Ara but he had to for her own safety, or else she including her father would die. Taehyung switched off his phone and threw it into the river so that no one contact him.

"Ara, I'm sorry I left you like this that too on your birthday, but I have no choice. I promise, I'll find you someday and make you mine no matter what it takes" With that Taehyung left his first love, friends and family just to protect them. 

He boarded the flight and while looking outside the window he thought,

"I'll be back Ara, I promise"
