Meet The Carters

I couldnt concentrate in school so i left fourth period. I went to see my momma, she always knows how to make me feel better. I parked in front of my building and walked to my parents house. When i got there i took my shoes off by the door and went searching for my momma. I found her in her room taking a nap. I took my jacket off, got in the bed and cuddled with her.

"Hey baby"

"Hey mommy"

"When did you get here"

"Just now, im so tired"

I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.

Three hours later

My mother shook me awake.
"Cass, are you hungry"

"Yeah"

"Well get up, come eat"

"Ok five more minutes"

"No get up now, im so bored"

"Ok momma"

She pulled me out of the bed. She dragged me down the stairs and into the kitchen. I sat down at the table and watched my mother shuffle around the kitchen. She was so beautiful and had so much energy for a mother of four.

"So whats going on"

"I have to tell you something "

"Is it about Ice"

"How do you know"

"Your father and I were up arguing  about it earlier. He had speculations about you guys over the summer. They were confirmed when Ice dropped that car off"

"How did he know about the car"

"You know your father got cameras all over this damn city. Someone made the call."

"Well what should i do."

"What do you mean"

"Dad popped up this morning and Ice was there he told Ice and Major to meet him at the Warehouse tonight  "

"He is so hard headed i told him not to go over there."

"You think he's gonna hurt him"

"No, he better not" she placed two plates of fried chicken baked macaroni and cheese and collard greens on the table .

"Thank you mommy this smells so good"

"Your welcome baby"

"So what should i do"

"You know what,im going to call your father and have him come to the house. What time does he want them to meet him?"

"After school"

"Thats in an hour, text Ice and Major and tell them not to meet your father. Tell them to come here"

"Ok"

"Give me a minute, im going up stairs to call your father"

I did a group text  and told Trinity to ride with them. I ate my food than went upstairs to my room to take a quick shower. After i got out i moisturized my body, i put on a sports bra and boy shorts. I searched threw my draws for something comfortable to lounge around in. I pulled out a white crop top, black leggings and long red knee high socks. I put my hair up in a bun.

"Ma"

"Im downstairs"

She was laying on the couch flipping through channels. I sat in the recliner and put the seat back.
