"Lahap, can you get us a layout of this camp?" said Kaizo through the tablet computer.
"Sure. I can use the drone to map out your surroundings. Just give me a minute," said Lahap.
"Okay. Let's look around. See if there's anything we can use in case we need to fight," said Kaizo.
"You don't have weapons in your "dimensional storage", by any chance, do you?" Ramenman asked.
Axion went silent. They all stared at her.
"...um... actually, yes," she replied. She pulls a few wooden bats from her dimensional storage.
"Wooden bats? Don't you have guns?" Kaizo asked.
"We want to finish this job as quietly as possible. We don't want a bloodbath," said Axion.
"Yeah but they want us dead the moment they know we're plotting an escape," said Kaizo.
"Why does every mission need to end with violence in your hand?" she asked, annoyed.
"Why do you always need to make things complicated?" he angrily asked back.
"Save the couple fight for later, young lovers," said Ramenman.
"We're not lovers! Stop it!" said Axion and Kaizo almost at the same time.
Rum let out a distressed sigh.
Suddenly, a "beep" sound comes from the computer tablet Kaizo is holding.
"I've mapped out the camp. Do I need to bring the ship close by?" Lahap asked.
"No. We're fine," said Axion. "We'll be back to the ship soon. Let's not make too much fuss."
"I'll call you if we need anything so stay online," said Kaizo.
"Okay. Good luck," said Lahap.
"I have tranquilizer guns if you want," said Axion. "It's a standard type and very commonly used. Even Sveratis would have a hard time investigating its origin. We won't get caught."
Kaizo stared at her. He eventually takes the tranquilizer.
"We split," he said. "Rum and Axion will get our stuff. Ramenman and I will investigate this camp."
"You still want to investigate?" Ramenman asked.
"We need information," said Kaizo. "They should have a server station somewhere around here. We can intercept it."
"You sure it's a good idea?" Rum asks.
"If there's any chance Flavius could be our asset in the future, we can't risk giving him a bad impression more than we already did," said Axion. "Remember. We're alone on this. If we get caught, Astraeus stations can't give support. The Admiral can't claim that we're one of his cadets."
"I agree. Flavius could be a good support if he turns out to be loyal to the Prince," said Rum.
"We find and do what we need and then we get out, quickly," said Kaizo as he loaded his tranquilizer gun. "Anything else comes later."
Rum slowly walked closer to the door and peeked through the small holes. The sky already turned dark. Lights dimly lit the camp around them.
"There are 2 guards at the door," Rum whispered.
"Let's knock them out," said Kaizo.
"No!" said Axion. "We need to get out quietly."
"Well, those guards would be quiet if they're knocked out," said Kaizo.
"We don't want "assaulting law enforcement" on our crime list!" she insisted.
"And since when do you care about petty little things like that?" Kaizo asks in frustration.
"Since I learned how to sue people with the law," Axion replied.
Kaizo sighs. "Fine. How do we get out of here?"
"The back," said Axion as she gestured to the back.
The move to the back of the shack.
"This shack is made of wood and it's not that sturdy. We can make a hole here and patch it back," said Axion.
Axion breaks the wooden wall and makes a hole just enough for them to escape.
"Let's go," she said.
They crawled through the hole and slipped to another shack next to them. Kaizo peek towards the front of the shack.
"There are soldiers everywhere," he mumbled. He turned to his team. "Okay. Let's finish this job and go back asap."
The rest of the team nodded. They split and sneak through the camp, doing their assigned task.
Rum and Axion slip through the soldiers at ease. They hide behind a tent just one block away from the tent where they keep confiscated items. The tent is not heavily guarded. But Flavius and his men are inside, checking into their belongings.
"They're trying to hack into our tablets," said Rum.
Axion sighed. She's silent for a moment, thinking of a plan. "We need a distraction."
"We can make a little fuss," said Rum.
"No. I need to think of a distraction that won't alert the entire soldiers," said Axion. She looks around her.
Axion saw a bunch of cables sticking out the back of the camp where they hide. She holds those cables.
"Let's see," she mumbled. "These cables don't seem to be taken care of well. A little electric magic should be enough to make an electrical surge."
Axion focuses her magic. A small yellow spark flashes between her fingers. Suddenly, the entire camp turned dark. Flavius and his men come out of the camp, wondering why the electricity got cut out.
"What's going on? What happened to the power?" Flavius asked.
"It must be the generator. It's probably a little malfunction," said a soldier.
"Well send someone to fix it," said Flavius.
"Let's go," said Axion.
They slipped through the dark and sneaked into the tent.
Although their electricity suddenly went off, Sveratians soldiers are rather calm. It means this is not the first time they had an electrical problem. "Lucky us," Axion thought.
Axion takes all their belongings and throws them into dimensional storage. They sneak out as fast as they sneak in. As soon as they're in the woods, the electricity goes back on.
