Ashtons POV
I spotted Luke himself, talking to... oh, no. Sierra Deaton. She didn't know when to shut up, it really got on my nerves. He walked towards them.
"Hello, Ashton!" Sierra cried.
"Yeah".
Sierra turned to Luke. "well, I've got to go. See you tonight". She gave me a hearty smile and left.
"Tonight?" I repeated, one eyebrow raised.
"We're going out. You want to come?".
"No".
Luke gave me a "touchy touchy" look.
"What? I don't want to go, okay? That a crime?" I pushed past Luke and strode down the corridor angry. Why were girls and parties so important to Luke these days? He seemed to think life was all one big great joke. Well at least he had a life. At least he was going to live to turn twenty....Next minute, I crashed into someone. Books flying everywhere. "Watch where you are going, huh?", I snapped.
"Jaysus!" I looked up. The girl was gathering her books together and sobbing. He couldn't see her face. It was hidden by a Maine of tangled blonde hair. She picked herself up and turned away.
"Hey!" I called, catching her elbow. She tried to pull away. "Hey", I said softer. "You dropped this..... Are you okay?""Fine, thanks". And she took the chain from my hand. "Are you sure?" I was concerned, now that I could see her face. It was a pasty white, and there were tears in her dark green eyes.
"Fine", she repeated.
"If you need the nurse, I can take-"
"No!" She stormed off.
