"The police is looking into Bosston's murder case again." Ohm said. "WHAT??Why?" Prem asked. "They think Bosston's murder is related to Sammy's. So for getting further information they want open the case again." Fluke said. For a moment Boun blacked out.
What do they mean by both of their murder were related? It can't be right? Samantha confessed to me. She said she killed Bosston by accident. And she couldn't possibly kill herself if the police said it was a murder. Then who killed her? Why does the police think their murders are connected? Confusion was increasing inside Boun's mind. He didn't know what to do. He wanted to tell Prem and have his opinion but he just couldn't. He didn't want to break his promise to Samantha.
"Hia! Hia. Are you okay?" Prem asked with concern. "Yeah I am okay. Just blacked out for a second." Boun said sounding as calm as possible. He felt so many thing in that moment. He felt the pain of losing both of his old Best friends. He felt confused because he didn't know why the policed thought Bosston and Samantha's murder were connected. He felt scared he felt very vulnerable. He was on the edge of crying.
"We should meet up and talk because we all know No one was innocent in the case of Bosston's murder." Fluke said. It was also true. "You guys can come over to my place tomorrow morning. I'll send you guys the address." Boun said after gathering all his emotions. "Okay then I and Fluke will meet you guys tomorrow. Stay safe bye" Ohm said as he hung up the phone call.
"Hia I think I should go to." Prem said as he looked at Boun. As much as Boun didn't want to show his vulnerable side to Prem he knew he needed him today. After three years, meeting Prem just reminded him how much he actually missed the guy. Though Samantha and Bosston was his best friend Prem was the person who knew everything about him. Prem was like his personal journal. The journal you write all your emotions in. You pain, your happiness, you angriness everything you write in that journal. And when you write that journal it comforts you in a way no one can. Prem was that journal in a human form.
He met Prem through Bosston. Prem was Bosston's childhood friend. He lived in the same neighborhood as them but went to a different school. Prem went to an international school awhile the other went to a school that was located in the neighborhood. Boun could remember when he first met Prem. He thought he was so cute. They were in middle school. Prem was wearing a black oversized shirt with the shortest pants Boun had ever seen a boy wear. He didn't know why but he found it adorable. A lot of other kids were making fun of Prem. But he stood up for himself. On our first day meeting Boun knew Prem would be one of his closest friend and he was right.
"Pao please don't leave me." Boun blurted out without thinking. It made Prem blush a little. "I-I mean umm you have to come to my place in the morning anyways and also it's pretty late and I do have a very comfortable couch so you can stay with me." Boun said with confidence. "Yeah sure Hia. I'll stay. We have a lot to catch up." Prem said while smiling. After feeling so vulnerable seeing that smile made Boun smiled a little. And Prem could tell it was a genuine smile.
They walked together in silence. Boun was taking glances at Prem whenever he could. Seeing the boy made him feel happy. After all the stress he was feeling at peace while walking in silence with Prem. When he saw Prem smiling and looking at him. "You know what's funny when we were younger whenever we were with each other we could never stop talking. And now we met after three years and we are both silent" Prem said as he started to chuckle. Boun also smiled. "It's just that I am still a little overwhelmed with all that's happening or happened today." Boun said as they continued walking. "It is overwhelming. To be honest I am actually kind of happy. I mean of course I am sad about Samantha's death. But I wanted this reunion to happen" Prem said. Boun could hear the sadness in Prem's voice. He knew his pao was hurting all along.
Boun didn't say anything. Just continued walking. After a while he reached his home. "We are here. Come on" Boun said as they both entered the apartment. The apartment was a decent size. It was well decorated and neat. Prem really liked the indoor decoration. "Whoa it's so pretty. Wait how is this place so neat. I mean no offence but you were never a neat person." Prem said. Boun pretended to be hurt. "Ouch that hurts. And to answer your question I just cleaned it yesterday." Boun said as they both shared a laugh. "Well you must be exhausted go ahead and take a shower. I'll prepare something you can wear. And the towel is inside." Boun said as he sat on the couch.
Boun went through his closet to find something for Prem to wear. Honestly everything Zach had would be to big for Prem. The boy had chubby cheeks but still was small and skinny. He picked a pink hoodie and some white sweats for Prem and set them on the bed. He was too lazy to take a shower so he just changed his outfit and applied a lot of deodorant. He then went to his desk and opened his laptop. He informed some of his friends from collage that he wouldn't be able to come to collage the next day. Then he was about to close the laptop when suddenly he saw an article pop up at his for you page on Facebook. "The author of the hit novel 'the promise' Samantha Melanie was found dead last night in her apartment." 'Sammy was a writer' He thought. He clicked the article.
Miss Melanie was found dead in her house. This 21 years old writer was always a mysterious person. Nobody knew anything about her personal life. Though it is rumored that the story of her famous novel 'the promise' was real and she was a part of it. The police thinks her death has something to do with her past. That's all we know for now. But if you want to be updated about this case then be sure to follow us.
As soon as he finished reading the article a hand met his shoulder. He was scared to death. "What the hell. You scared me." Boun said to Prem and Prem couldn't stop laughing. "OK ok laugh all you want." Boun said. "I am sorry. But that was just too funny hia." Prem said controlling his laughter.
"Did you know Samantha was a writer?" Boun asked. "Hmm I read one of her books you know the one named 'The promise'. It is actually about Bosston's death." Prem said sadly. He was still standing behind Boun hand on his shoulder. Boun couldn't get himself to look back. "You know something in the novel really confused me. I knew the whole story of what happened. But at the end she has this line that really confused me." Prem said. That made Boun intrigued. "What was the line?" Boun asked still looking at the laptop. "Well it was not a line really. So the story was told from Samantha's perspective. Of course she didn't use real names but it wasn't that hard to guess. She said she was sorry for lying. She was sorry for hiding something from somebody. But she didn't really hide anything from us. And she never mentioned who the somebody was in her novel" Prem said. For a moment Boun thought Samantha was talking about him. But Samantha told him all the truth. This made Boun really overwhelmed. He couldn't hold back his tears. So he cried. He cried so much from all the pain all the stress. He felt Prem hug him while he was standing. Boun nuzzled his face in Prem's stomach. "It's okay Hia. You can cry. I am here" Prem said and it was all the reassurance he needed so he cried. He hadn't cried this much since Samantha's confession. But the difference was this time he wasn't alone he had Prem with him.
