Lyra finished her essays quicker than Remus thought she would. So he set her a new task, of helping him unpack some of the boxes he still hadn't managed to, in his office.

"Ok so just put the books on the shelves, and then you should be done for detention." he said handing her a big box full of books.

"Jesus professor," she exclaimed trying to hold the box, "You might as well just open a library."

He chuckled at her dramatics, "It's only two big boxes Miss Diggory." he rolled his eyes bringing her over the other box.

Lyra began to put the books on the shelves, when one book caught her eye. "Of Mice and Men". But Lyra had never heard of it before. She began to read the back of the book.

After awhile, Remus noticed that she had stopped stacking the books,  and looked over to see her sitting down leaning against the book shelf reading, Of Mice and Men. He started to smile to himself as he watched her read the book.

"You know if you keep staring at me, I'm gonna find somewhere else to read." she said not taking her eyes of the book.

Remus was caught off guard as he didn't realize she could see him looking at her. He cleared his throat "Well um, aren't you supposed to be stacking the books, not reading them?"

"Well yeah, but this book just caught my eye." she replied looking up from the book to him.

"Ahh yes," he began walking over to her "Of Mice and Men, a story about ambition, friendship and sacrifice, a great book." He continued "You can borrow it if you like ?"

"Really?" She asked.

"Yeah, you can borrow it," he smiled at her. "It's a good book, I enjoyed it the first time I read it."

"Well thanks sir." she smiled back at him.

He stood there smiling down at her, while she sat there smiling up at him. Once again Remus found himself getting lost in her eyes and she in his.

He began thinking to himself how she resembles almost nothing of her parents. Or her brother Cedric. Her eyes they're completely different to Cedrics blue eyes. She also has blonde hair and as far as he knew Amos and Mary both had brown, the genetics just don't add up. It's almost weird. He quickly stopped these thoughts and looked away from her eyes.

Lyra cleared her through "Ok I um.. I'll finish these." she cringed at how she stuttered, she never stutters.

"Oh yeah um.. I'll get back to grading the papers." he also cringed at how he stuttered.

After another 20 minutes Lyra had finished with the stacking of the books.

"Am I finished now or am I to do more of the work you're to lazy to do." she smirked at him as he began to chuckle.

"Wow Miss Diggory, are you judging me for not having the time to unpack my things." he faked a hurt expression, hand over his chest.

"Now you just sound like me sir," she smiled "And please stop calling me Miss Diggory, it makes me feel like an old person and I'm way to young for that feeling." she pleaded with wide eyes as he began to laugh.

"Ok Lyra," he smiled "You're free to go."

Lyra gave him one last smile before walking over to the door "Thanks for the book!" she called over her shoulder and slammed the door before he could reply. Leaving him smiling to himself in his office.

Lyra walked back to her common room and went straight to bed, as she was exhausted from such a long day. She also couldn't stop thinking about Lupin, it's become an occurrence now, but every time she just told herself it was a silly crush.
