Settling in

I walked back into the stable with Bella, and saw my parents coming back from my dorm. I didn't really want to tell the, that in the five minutes they left me, I'd already gotten myself in trouble.
"Hey love, your dorm monitor sounds just charming, and lots of rules!" My dad teased.
"Oh great, I just loove rules dad!" I replied.
"Comon Cal, let's go get Bella settled in."
We entered the stable, and it was even better then I remembered from when I had come last! There was at least fifty stalls on each side, each with gold name plates with fancy script written on them. Half way up, I found a gorgeous one that read the best name ever, Bella. It was enormous! It was about three times the size of the one I had at home. I carried my my pick blue tack box, and all my other stuff into the tack room. Inside, I found millions of saddle racks, and Khloe, cleaning a gleaming black all-purpose saddle on what I think was her own saddle rack, it had her horses name- Ivy, and her name- Khloe Addams.
"Hey". I said.
"Hey, I didn't catch your name before." She replied, smiling her envy-worthy, pearl-white teeth.
"Oh, um, Callie, Callie Hawoods. And, uh, thanks, for before, with Mandy."
"That's a cool name, and your welcome, your certainly not the only one who's needed a rescue from Mandy before."
I looked at her quizzically. She must have seen my screwed up face, coz she started giggling.
"Mandy is one of those girls that is all sweat and perfect for the teachers (and they believe it coz their really smart and talented) but them behind the teachers backs are the meanest girls you'll ever meet. She's ultra competitive too. Her and her cliche, The Trio. Mandy, Alexa, and Chrissy, their unstoppable. But the worst part, all the teachers loove them!"
That wasn't exactly the pep talk I needed on the first day, but still, it was good information.
"Okay, thanks."
"Just, watch her, she's a bit of a witch, and she will do anything to win, particularly in riding, boys, and just all round attention. Like last year, she absolutely hated our science teacher coz she wasn't mesmerised by her very presence like the others were, so she made up a rumour that this new girl was the niece of that teacher, so she was getting all the attention and A+ for everything. The teacher got fired and the girl had to change schools coz she was getting picked on. So, yeah, just, be careful. Mandy loves newbies!"
Okay, now I was scared. I plopped my things on a spare saddle rack and then went back to mum and dad, they had Bella settled in nicely.
"Ready to see your dorm Hon? it really is charming!" Mum told me. I nodded in reply. We stepped out of the chaotic stable and trodden up past the courtyard, it was gorgeous (I know I use that word a lot, but it's true!). My dorm was number 6, room 9- I know exciting name right? Although it was pretty good inside. We stepped into a neat-as-pin office, literally! Even every pencil was in place. Nice piles of paper and books were stacked in the corner, and a cute little tin, which I think would have rubbers, or safety pins in it.
A pretty lady with long blonde hair walked in, I think her name was Ally?
"Hello there Hawoods, I'm Ally, as you already know, and welcome to your new dorm. Because the numbers for names are really boring everyone just calls it 'roomie' but we're trying to think of a better name, so if you have one just let me know, okay?" She seemed quite nice.
"I suggest you've read the rule book, and the policies?" Um, yeah, there had been 175 rules! I knew it was strict, but not that strict!
"You will here more about that at the whole school assemble on Monday, from the headmistress, Miss Mitchell."
"I think we will just go settled her in in her room if we may?" Mum asked. I think Ally was a bit sad to finish her intro!
