As my parents' sleek, black Mercedes - Benz pulled up in the parking lot of my new boarding school, I began to second guess myself, and not for the first time either. I pulled my favourite Modern Muse perfume out of my purse and sprinkled some on my wrists and neck. I had, like, an untreatable addiction for perfume...so...yeah. Eww, I had sprayed WAY too much on, I smelt musky now...gross! I pressed my face up against the window of the car in a childish "Are we there yet?" way. I couldn't help it! The prestigious campus was stunning! My eyes were getting hungry just looking at it, but I wanted to go straight to the stables, where my beautiful, chestnut mare Bella would be staying.
This was surreal, I, Callie Hawoods, had just been excepted into one of the most difficult schools in New York! Brady Academy- even the name sounded fancy! I looked over to a girl jumping a beautiful black gelding - my favourite discipline! Oh no, she looked really good. Oh My God Callie!! You've been here no more than five minutes and you are already eyeing off competition. Breath Cal, breath. I reached for my scented beauty again, but stopped myself. No Cal, come on, you're going to smell like a marshmallow!
"Here we are Hon!" Said my mum as we reversed into a park.
"You're new home! Well, for nine weeks anyway!"
I shivered at the thought of that. Yes, it was gorgeous, but the idea of not being with my patents for that long scared me. I held onto my new charm bracelet, which had been a gift from my parents over Summer, as a "well done for making Brady!!" present. Yaaaay...
I slowly slid out of car, where my dad was waiting with my mmaaasssive suitcase.
"How did you ever manage to fit Bella in here too?" He asked teasingly. I playfully punched him on the arm.
"Haha, very funny!"We walked up the gorgeous, cream-white path, towards the direction of the stables, leading Bella. That girl I had just seen was still there, she was amazing! I wondered if I ever looked that good while I was jumping.
"Mum and I are just going to talk with your dorm monitor for a bit okay sweetie? We'll be right back"
I didn't even here them properly, I was too busy dreaming about my riding.
"Watch out!" That woke me out of my daydream. I looked up to see the same girl, cantering towards the last jump, which, I, of course, was standing right in front of! Bella, who had also noticed how good looking the gelding was, let out a huge, deafening whinny! I tried to move out of the way, but then this happened...
OMG!!
Fainting was a definite possibility right now.
