A/N: Heyaaa friends~ I read a comment (in ytube) saying fanfictions are for writers who don't have genuine ideas. ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ
What do you think?

It was past nine at night, the underground subway station which was packed like sardines in a can, was already becoming quieter, soon to be deserted. Still, the inside of the five-coach metro train was not at all vacant. Looks of exhaustion and weariness would fill the airconditioned tube if not for the masks on their faces; courtesy of the pandemic that had been going around for more than a year now.
The plastic hard seats were mostly occupied but there were still spaces left randomly in between passengers that paid no heed towards each other. Some chose to stand, probably because they thought they had been sitting too much in their offices, or maybe, it simply because they were nearing their stops.
A man sat on the seat that was facing the window on the other side, casual in his white Adidas sweatshirt with striped blue sleeves, the blue cap kept his tousled hair perfectly. Waking up from dozing off, he shook his head and squeezed the sleepiness away from his eyes when the train stopped at Jianguomen. Scratching the itchiness on his nose through the black medical-grade mask he was wearing over his face, he watched two people boarding the train. The younger man in a tweed coat with slick combed hair caught his attention, a model perhaps. He could not see his face but he was pretty sure the man could swoon any girl he wanted, evident by the already chirping audiences sitting across him. The young man walked inside and just stood by a pole, one hand in his pocket.
A model indeed.
Having been working in Beijing for a few years already, Zhang Zhe Han had always seen various sorts of people on his almost daily train ride but it was his first time seeing such a fashionable man that he thought would better belong in a limousine instead. The metro's announcement system beeped twice, and the door slowly slid closed.
Thud, thwack!
Zhe Han snapped his head the other way towards the sound and saw a young man hunching in front of the now closed door, picking up the files and books that had fallen to the floor with several other people nearby helping him. He must've rushed to catch the train, Zhe Han guessed, seeing that the man was trying hard to catch his breath after picking up his stuffs.
Glancing up at the blinking map indicator on top of the window in front of him, he counted four other stations he needed to pass before he could reach his home. He yawned but figured that he should not fall asleep again or else he might miss his stop, so he took out his phone from the backpack he was holding on his lap and slid through songs after songs. When he finally found one he wanted to hear, he took out his earphones from the side pocket of his backpack and started untangling its cords.
The whirring engine kicked the train into motion soon after. The initial powerful thrusts then gentled down to wispy beats. Zhe Han pulled at the knots and then pulled at another in a seemingly unending chore. He mumbled under his mask, cursing the mystery of the twist and turn the string had taken course in his backpack during the day. It already felt like forever when he heard a voice sounded from beside him.
"May I?"
Wasn't sure if the question was directed at him, Zhe Han just tilted his head and raised his brows looking at the man that he was sure not there just now. The man in mint green shirt tucked into a pair of dark grey pants looked familiar.
