Merry meet, seeker. You may call me Fraeya. I am a witch, and have been pursuing this path since I was 13 years old. I have helped hundreds of beginner witches and closet witches on their journey, through my work on Reddit forums, Discord, and YouTube. I run a successful YouTube channel for closeted witches and seekers of their own truth.
I could never possibly hope to provide you with a complete beginners guide to witchcraft, because the limitations of this path are truly endless, so I can only show you what witchcraft means to me through my eyes. Regardless, my thoughts and experiences have value, and I hope that they will have some value to you.
I want to provide you with a beginners guide to witchcraft with my own unique flair and personality. I want to be able to explain concepts to you in a way that is easy to understand for a beginner. I want to make your pursuit of this path... perhaps not easier, but at least guide you around the common pitfalls and misinformation you might come across elsewhere. I also want to discuss topics that aren't covered too extensively in most other books for beginner witches.
I hope I can achieve all of these and help at least one person realise who they are, and unlock authenticity for themselves. By sharing with you my truth, I hope that you can find your own unique truth.
How to use this book
I recommend reading each chapter in order. I have attempted to present the information in this book in a precise order to maximise clarity and beginner-friendliness.
This book is intended for those totally new to witchcraft, but I imagine it will also be valuable to amateurs and even experienced witches looking to widen their perspective on how other witches practise their craft.
I have tried to provide a healthy balance between the more spiritual, metaphysical concepts and logical, scientific concepts. I am a firm believer that witchcraft and science can be closely intertwined; you don't have to be anti-science to be a witch.
Footnotes: In most chapters I have also written footnotes that provide extra clarity and depth without disrupting the flow of the ideas I'm presenting. So if you come across a number in brackets like this (#), that means there's a footnote corresponding to that number at the end of the chapter.
