Chapter 3

Bianca POV

"Percy, Bianca, Nico, Reyna, Stolls, Hephaestus cabin, guard the flag!" Scott yelled. I nodded and ran up into a tree. I pulled out my bow and notched an arrow. Soon a hunter arrived however Percy quickly got out a pen, which turned into a sword. He blocked an arrow by cutting it into half, the hunter got her hunting knives out but Percy stepped into her guard and knocked her out. He's a natural in swordsmanship. Minutes later, 2 more hunters came in, Zoe and Phoebe. "Phoebe, go get the flag, I got this boy." Zoe said when she got into a battle stance. She nodded and ran towards the flag. Percy and Zoe started to exchange blows. I shot the arrow towards Phoebe but she jumped over the arrow and glared at the arrow. I pulled out my sword and jumped down and started to exchange blows with Phoebe. We exchanged slashes and parries until Nico sneak attacked from the right and she was forced to defend. I started to attack Nico, forcing her back. Her eyes narrowed and she hit the ground and kicked the legs from my feet. I fell to the ground and Nico started to attack Phoebe, however it was a hopeless fight. I reached for my sword but it was too far away. Soon a horn sounded and cheering "CAMP HALF BLOOD WINS!" Phoebe's eyes widened. I smirked, we broke their 56 win streak. She sneered at Nico and I and she left. Percy soon came and it looked like he had a draw fighting Zoe. He helped us up and we hugged and Percy whispered in my ear "Our first game and we won." I blushed but nodded at it. Soon we heard gasps and I turned around. A granny came forward and looked at Zoe, straight into her eyes. "I am the Oracle of Delphi, come speaker and ask." Zoe stepped forward "What must we do to save my lady?"

Bianca POV

"We can take the hunters and go find Lady Artemis!" Percy interjected "But it says campers and hunters combined plus there can only be 5 of us." Zoe then said "Phoebe and I would go." I then said, "I would go with Percy and Grover." They nodded. "Alright let's go west!"

Thaila POV

They left, however I may be able to sneak in because Phoebe has been poisoned by centaur blood. She won't be able to go on the quest. I headed over to the stables and boarded a Pegasus, "Follow that truck." The horse nodded, stretched its wings and set off, after the van which they were in. Multiple hours of riding I finally saw the car stop, "Park me there, then you can go." The horse didn't protest and set me down. I followed into the Museum however I didn't see Percy there. I frowned but I saw the other 3. I walked over to them, "Guys!" I heard Percy running behind me. He saw me "Thalia what are you doing here? Anyways, the general and Lace are here! We need to get out of here, NOW!" The others didn't protest but then we heard someone say "Kitty!" I turned to the right and saw a lion, "The Nemean Lion! Scramble!" I saw Percy pull out his sword and attack, I was close behind. I blocked a strike and attempted to stab the lion, but I forgot the skin was invincible. I got knocked back, the spear out of my grip, I raised my shield in time for the lion's claws to scratch onto the shield. I heard yelling "Aim for its mouth!" I nodded and tried to get my spear but it was too far away. I muttered "well that's not fair." I saw the lion finally leave my spot and headed to Percy. I ran and grabbed my spear and turned around just in time to see Percy throwing his sword into the lion's mouth, killing it. "Well, who wants the fur?" I looked at him "you killed it you get it." He just stared at me until he looked above me and his eyes widened. I turned around to see a dozen Sparti heading our way. "Let's get out there! C'mon guys go go go!" He grabbed the cloth and ran into the van. We hopped in and the van started driving. "The subway quick!" Bianca yelled. Zoe didn't argue and drove to the subway. We quickly bought tickets and got inside. I sighed in relief. Soon we stopped and saw someone standing by a fire "Eh? C'mon kids, the fire is to share!" We headed over and started to get warm. "Where's the train to go west?" I looked at him "I don't know." The other guy spoke up "right over there kiddos." We looked over and saw a sign 'Sun West Drive' . Well that's convenient. We walked inside and saw some cars, "Well, let's just get in them." We all nodded and fell asleep in the cars. Soon we made it hundreds of miles across the country and hopped out in New Mexico. We saw a shopping district and split up, Zoe and Grover headed to the coffee shop while the rest of us walked over to ask for a way to get to the west. "Kid, that's going to cost lots of money." I just nodded and went over to ask more people about ways to get west, leaving Percy and Bianca alone.

Percy POV

"Nice rat" Bianca said after a minute of silence. "Percy, I'm sorry for actually thinking about joining the hunt, it's just...." I put a hand on her shoulder, "I accept your apology," she smiled at that. "You know Percy, I'm not sure if I'll make it out alive." I looked at her, shocked. "Bianca I made a promise I will always be there for you, and I am also going to promise you. Will. Not. Die." She looked at me, and I could see her tears then she hugged me, I hugged her back. "Now let's get going we do-" "REEEEEEEEE" I stood up in an instant, my sword in my hand. Trusty Anaklusmos or Riptide, 3ft long celestial bronze sword. "Get out of here!" I yelled and grabbed Bianca's hand and ran towards an exit, however luck wasn't on our side the the flying pork chops came at us. I looked back and yelled "Plan B!" Then I tackled both of us off the cliff. Let's just say with a screaming girl and a shield, your sledding experience isn't that fun. I got up and held out my hand. "Cmon Bianca, let's see where the others have gone. They walked up the snow filled mountain and saw the pig, in chains. Grover said "C'mon Guys, let's hitch a ride and let's go." We got on the flying pig and rode on the pig. Let's just say it wasn't comfortable. We soon landed into a junk yard. I widened my eyes at the amount of items there are. Zoe's eyes widened too "Don't touch anything, this is Hephastus' junkyard. Most of the stuff here is cursed." We all just decided to stop touching things and go on. We soon made it to a gigantic foot. "Wow, a foot, let's go around, far around." No one argued against that. Once we got out of the junkyard we heard a screeching noise. I turned around and that foot was actually a 100 foot giant. Zoe yelled "That's Talos! Someone took something!" She glared at me, I instantly defended myself "I didn't do anything!" Thaila started yelling "C'mon Guys we are going to die if you just STAND THERE!" I sprinted away with Bianca at my side, we hid behind a car and I looked at Bianca's hand closed. "You took something." Bianca looked guilty but defended herself "Well I didn't know it was going to spawn this!" Talos looked straight at us, "Drop it, maybe Talos would stop!" Bianca reluctantly dropped it, nothing happened. The giant started moving towards us. Bianca quickly grabbed the statue again and we ran on top of a pile. I looked at the giant and something at its foot that read 'Maintenance Hatch' I got a crazy idea. "Bianca there is a maintenance hatch on the bottom of his foot, distract it while I run up to it!" I practically yelled at her. She instantly looked at me and gave me the statue and said "Tell Nico that I'm sorry." I grabbed her hand before she could run off, "No. You are staying here." Then Bianca did something I didn't expect. She pulled me down and kissed me. My eyes widened and a thousand bolts of electricity went through my body. I kissed her back and we stood there for 10 seconds until I pulled away. I put my hand on her cheek and she held it there, tears going through her eyes. "Bianca, I love you" I told her, these would be my last words. She would NOT die. "I love you too" Bianca said, barely above a whisper. "Promise me, promise me you'll look after Nico and Reyna. Please." Bianca looked at me eyes full of tears, "I promise" Then I saw her about to take off, "I'm sorry" I said then I pulled out my sword and knocked her out. I gave the statue in her hands and covered her up with the Nemean Lion pelt, making a hole so she could breathe. Then I stared at her for a second, kissed her forehead, covered her up, and took off. "Zoe! Get it's leg to lift!" Zoe nodded then shot its head, while I was getting close to it, Talos lifted his back foot and I ran inside. I instantly grabbed onto the ladder and started climbing. Tears were going down my face. I'm leaving this world, I'm leaving Nico, Reyna, and beautiful Bianca, the love of my life. I closed my eyes and continued my climb. About halfway there I slammed my head into the ladder. Dazed for a second I continued climbing until I made it to the top. It's most likely the head of the bronze thing. I looked around for the controls button. I reached over to a column and instantly I cut my hand on something. I quickly yelped and looked at my hand. It was bleeding everywhere. More tears fell through my face. Then a force pushed me against the wall, slamming into the side of the head, cutting my body everywhere with loose bronze parts of the head. I looked at the control system and saw a red button that looked like a self-destruct button. I pulled out Riptide, and started saying " I, Perseus Jackson, give up Anaklusmos for a new warrior, Bianca Di Angelo, may this process be safe and the magic stays within the new owner." I saw the sword shimmer, turned into a pen, then a hair pen, and it disappeared in a little of golden dust. I felt tears coming down my face as I prepared myself. "I'm sorry guys, I'm sorry for failing my promise to be with you, I'm sorry again." I got a flashback to where Bianca and I first met, the times where we fought off the bullies, the first dance I had with her, meeting Reyna, Nico's supposed 'girlfriend' and then the first day learning of Greek mythology. I braced myself and said a few more words as the tears were falling down my face in mass numbers. "I love you Bianca" then I pushed my finger towards the button and pressed it.
