The gaming hero: ____ - START!

Some people were getting restless, so I've decided to publish this chapter early until I get the motivation to continue.

Izuku got up to the smell of bacon. He left his room to see that his mother was cooking breakfast for him. "Good morning mom..." He greeted sleepily, rubbing his eyes before sitting at the table. "Good morning Izuku!" Inko replied happily, placing a plate in front of Izuku. "I scheduled the vet appointment. I can't go right away because of work, but it won't be long until we can have Kuroneku-sama checked out, okay?" Inko said, getting her own plate. Izuku just nodded at this, surprised that everything yesterday wasn't a dream, but happy it wasn't. Inko looked over at the clock, before quickly finishing her food and leaving to go to work. Inko and Izuku said their goodbyes, before Izuku watched Inko disappear behind the front door.

Izuku got up and cleaned his now empty plate, before going back in his room to see Kuroneku-Sama awake. He got her food and water, before changing into something simple, not counting his hoodie. He had his favorite shoes on (the red ones) as well as a normal pair of pants and a t-shirt. He also had his dark green hoodie on as it made him feel more comfortable, and it was actually pretty easy to move in. Izuku, seeing that Kuroneku was done, put her on his shoulder and left his house, making sure to switch his Title to Helpful Bonder first.

Izuku was just walking around town, there were three rats Izuku put Kuroneku up against, getting her a bit of EXP, and getting her strength up by 1 (5) as well as [Claws] leveling up once. But nothing much happened other than that. Izuku still had the food from the food fight yesterday in case Kuroneku-sama's health went down, although he was glad to see that after she rested, her health automatically went all the way up too.

As Izuku walked through a small underpass, with Kuroneku walking next to him, he suddenly felt a chill run down his spine and heard something at a manhole next to him.

Negative intent detected!

"You will make the perfect host!" As Izuku heard this, he tried to dodge, but something latched onto him. It only got his leg, but it still was able to latch onto him. He quickly came up with a solution.

He quickly used All Father's Blessing. Despite it only being level one, he felt strength surge through him, feeling ready to attack back he accessed the situation at hand.

Izuku saw Kuroneku standing off to the side, intimidated and unsure of what to do. He noticed that everytime she tried to attack the goop would use Izuku's body to block the attack, despite only having his leg and a single arm. Izuku quickly realized this and grew angry. He attempted to get out, seeing as the goop only just got on him. He was close, but wasn't able to escape. He pulled his other arm out, seeing the monster's eyes he aimed and poked it there. He heard a ding, but ignored it and quickly scrambled away as the monster recoiled, having taken even more damage due to his skill still being active. As he got out he realized something, the chill he felt come down his spine was slightly different then the negative intent he felt at school. This thing was out to kill him, as he thought this he felt the same chill down his spine, but felt Kuroneku rub on his leg. Thanks to this he quickly snapped out of his thoughts, and faced the goop that was right infront of him, looking at the notification he received earlier.

Izuku looked back at the sludge monster, having seemingly recovered from his attack. It's eyes were deathly red, and his 'mouth' was agape, teeth sharp and threatening. Izuku and Kuroneku-sama stood infront of it, ready to fight back.

He looked inbetween Kuroneku-sama and the enemy in front of him nervously. The sludge monster backed away slightly, before all time froze.

Izuku looked at the thing in front of him before speaking. "{Analyze}." The creature's stats appeared above him, as well as a health bar.

Every battle you can use {Analyze} on one opponent until further exploration with it. As you can see, it's Level, Health, and Mana is shown. Further stats can be shown the more battles you're in. Now then, use a skill to damage it.

'It's literally a tutorial, maybe it won't be that bad.' He thought.

"All Father's Blessing!" He said, realizing it reset on its own. (Probably for the tutorial.) He ran up and punched it, only for it to take no damage.

Some opponents will have resistance to certain attacks, debuffs, and skills. These are called strengths.

This enemy has the strength [liquid body]. Which makes it immune to blunt, sharp, pierce, slash, crash claw, or smash attack. Now brace yourself.

'Crash, claw? More like Rachet, Clank.'

He was not able to collect himself when a tendril came from the villain and slapped him about. He eventually recovered, and look at the notification, noting that his health had gone down.

"I would've never guessed!" Izuku replied, groaning. He thought about his next move carefully, never taking his eyes off the sludge villian. [Gamer body] kept from any noticeable damage from forming, but it was still there. He could feel that his rib cage cracked a bit.

As you might remember, once your health reaches 0, you die. In battle, having healing items, spells, or perks can be a big help. Here, use this [Alpha Potion].

A small glass bottle appeared and started floating by his head. It was filled to the brim with a glowing green liquid, held shut by a simple cork. It hurt to even reach over to grab the bottle. Izuku looked at it, reading the information.

Rereading the descriptions for the fifth time it finally clicked. "Can- can I just use a lesser potion or my mom's lunch and keep this?" Izuku said, looking into the air in hope.

No.

How depressing... with a sigh, Izuku drank the incredible potion. It tasted like a bowl of various fruits and nuts. A green aura flared around him before fading quickly. His ribs no longer ached, and he felt a boost in power fill him.

As you can see, if you have a spell, item, or perks that heal you, any leftover energy is used to temporarily increase your health or Mana for a small period of time.
