A/N: Hi loves, I've never written a story like this before so it may not be perfect. Please don't hate if you have suggestions feel free to private message me. Thank you so much, enjoy!
Madelyn's POV:
Football season started last week which means so did cheer and I'm so excited. I love cheer it's the one thing that gets me up in the morning. My best friend Alyssa Chandra does volleyball unfortunately but luckily our practice times are the same, she brings me. We hang out all of the time together, her boyfriend Keagan Plymoth is on the football team so when we start having games I'm sure I'll see her there. The football captain is like everyone would expect him to be...POPULAR.
Even though I'm the cheer captain that doesn't mean anything in my high school. If you don't have the big last name it doesn't matter what you look like or who you know. The captain, star quarterback, tall, and dark haired boy just so happens to be one of those people. He's one of the most hottest guys I've ever layed my eyes on, honestly though what else would you expect. I doubt he even know I exist, sure I'm center flyer and do all the cool tricks (not trying to brag) but still I'm just a no one.
Alyssa on the other hand everyone loves and adores her, how could you not? She's smart, beautiful, talented, and overall amazing. Honestly I don't know how or why she chose me as one of her best friends, I'm just glad she did. My junior year officially starts in 2 weeks and I'm so excited, the time of my high school career that I've been waiting for other than graduation of course. The big End of Summer Party is this Saturday in two days, Alyssa was invited and I was not no surprise but in all honestly I don't really mind. I'll do the same thing I do every weekend, stay home and take care of my adorable little sister who is only 2.
Both of my parents work a lot, all of the time actually and are never really home so we only have each other. Isobella (Bella) absolutely loves Alyssa which conveniently works out as she's over here all of the time. I've been taking care of Bella on my own since I got my license a couple of months ago. As soon as I could drive my parents took on more work hours and long business trips away from home. They leave me large sums of money every so often so I can take care of us.
It's just so weird the two of us in this big empty house, I have to get up early before school just so I can bring her to daycare then when I get done school I go pick her up, bring her home, eat some food, change her into something comfy, then Alyssa picks us up to bring us to practice. My coaches are absolutely amazing and I am so grateful for them, they're so understanding. Bella is starting to become quite the little cheerleader herself, it's so cute. I even have a little cheer uniform for her for when we have games. I didn't even realize how dozed off into my thoughts I was until Alyssa walked through the door and startled me.
"Hey Mads!" she exclaims. "Holy Shit Alyssa! You nearly gave me a heart attack I had no idea you were here." I said laughing while trying to calm myself. "I gathered that when you nearly jumped out of your skin when I spoke." She says laughing. "Well anyways, what's up? What are you doing here?" I say. "I come bearing news." She says excitingly. "Uh-oh, this cannot be good, what could have possibly happened now?" I say sarcastically. "The sarcasm was much not needed thank you." She says laughing. "Sorry, anyways continue on." I reply.
"Any who, you will be thanking me after I tell you this." She says, procrastinating on what she wants to say just to annoy me. "Spit it out girl." I say eagerly wanting to know what the hell she is talking about. "Okay fine, I got you invited to the End of Summer Party!" she says way too excitedly. "I knew when you opened your mouth it wasn't going to be good." I say laughing and a bit more sarcastic than intended. "Not good?! How the fuck is this not good?! This is amazing!!" she exclaims. "This is not good because for 1 there's no way in hell that it's true and 2 what am I going to do with Bella, I'm not bringing her with me no fucking way and I don't know if her day care is open on weekends." I plead to her.
"Come on Mads, why can't you accept the fact that you finally got welcomed to the popular party?" She asks. " I can't accept it because I don't believe it, it's probably a big joke that'll result in me crying in the end or something." I say frustratedly. "I can prove it's not." She says in complete and utter seriousness. "How?" I ask. "Because Connar asked me specifically to ask you, he also figured that you wouldn't believe me so he asked me for your number so he could invite you himself if you declined my offer." She says nonchalantly.
"What the actual fuck? You have to have lost your mind! No way in hell he would do that, he doesn't even know I exist! I say quite loudly. "It's true though, but I have to go now it's getting late I'll text you though." She says. "Okay, I'll let you know if I get a text from a random number but I doubt I will." I reply. "Goodbye Mads!" She says happily. "Goodbye girl!" I shout back at her as I here shut the door.
