"Thank you for an amazing night, Anne. I really enjoyed it."

"Me too." She said as she swung your intertwined hands back and forth as you walked along the sidewalk together, under the streetlights and the moon that hung low in the sky.

You just finished your second date together. Somehow, she made this one better than the last, which said a lot considering she really made your first date special by taking you to one of the most romantic places in the city and a walk along the beach.

Tonight, you watched the sunset together and went out for ice cream after she made you dinner. It may still be early in your relationship, but you swear that you're falling hard for her already.

But you're obviously not alone in that; you can see in her eyes that she's doing the same for you.

"I have tomorrow off so if you're up for it we could find something fun to do together."

"I'd like that." You grinned and continued to walk together, wondering to yourself when the last time was that you've ever felt this happy before.

You still have a few minutes to spend together until you reach your house and you're somewhat dreading it. But you'll surely be soaking up every second that remains with hr by your side.

She gave your hand a little squeeze and when you turned to look at her, she grinned at you. Her eyes were sparkling when they met yours. She parted her lips to speak and you knew you'd be intently listening to every single word she was about to say.

However, something crashed in the distance and cut her off before she even got the chance to speak. You both looked at each other in confusion, wondering what on earth it could be.

But it didn't take long for it to hit you, because just a few seconds later, you felt raindrops falling onto your shoulder.

"It's raining!" You said and watched her eyes light up a little.

"Okay, let's get you home." She giggled and held your hand a little tighter as you began to walk a little faster together.

You didn't make it home before it began to pour, though.

Before you knew it, it was beginning to fall hard and fast, soaking through your clothes and making her laugh and run, although carefully, through the rain with you.

You were getting closer and closer to your house. It was just a block away now.

Anne knew your amazing night together was coming to an end and that filled her heart with sadness because she was having the best time with you.

Her feet stopped moving underneath her and since her hand was wrapped in yours, when she came to a stop, you did too.

"Anne? Everything alright?" You asked as the rain continued to pour while she stared at you with those still sparkling eyes.

"Yeah. Everything's fine." She smiled and stared up at the sky, causing a few drops of rain to fall onto her face. "I'm just having so much fun with you and I'm sad it's about to end for the night. Because I really, really like you, y/n."

"I really, really like you too." You spoke sincerely, staring at her with the most dazzling smile she'd ever seen before.

"And there's something I've been wanting to do from the moment I laid eyes on you." She spoke softly, gently pulling you closer.

Her hand fell onto your back, right against your soaked shirt.

You knew what it was that she was talking about, and if you hadn't before you definitely did now, since she was unable to stop looking away from your eyes and down to your lips that looked so soft, so sweet, and so kissable.

You didn't let her hesitate or waste another second. You leaned right in, pushing your lips onto hers for a sweet kiss. It took her by surprise momentarily, but she melted into you and the taste of your lips just a second later, unable to resist.

She reached her hand out to let it fall gently against your cheek, thumb swiping along your damp skin as she moved her lips against yours ever so softly.

Her heart skipped a beat in her chest while yours filled with butterflies. Sparks flew all around you as you continued to kiss for a moment.

She pulled away when she needed to catch her breath. Her lips stayed close to yours though, just barely brushing against yours as you gazed into each other's bright eyes.

"You're perfect." She whispered softly against your lips, kissing the corners softly before pecking your lips one last time. "And you're cold." She frowned when she saw you shiver a little.

"Let's get you home."

You nodded but before you continued to rush home, you stole one more sweet kiss from her lips.

She couldn't help but grin when you pulled away, feeling as though her heart might just burst from the happiness she felt.

You ran through the rain and made it home, bringing her inside so she could warm up and dry off, too.

You turned on a movie and cuddled on the sofa until the rain stopped a little while later, sharing one more kiss goodbye as you made plans to see each other again tomorrow for another amazing day with each other.
