A Lifetime Ago

.:Prologue:.

Lumi opened her eyes to the familiar sight of her room. Her pale blue eye looked around, while the soft yellow one closed again. Lumi was used to her eyes being like this. Suddenly, the 5 year old caught sight of the calendar.

Her silky-soft blankets were thrown off of her body in an instant, and the young girl raced to her closet, flinging it open in excitement.

Today was her birthday.

Lumi opened her closet and took out her electric blue shirt, as well as her gray skirt. She put them on before grabbing her black bow tie, an accessory she can't go without.

After putting in the bow tie, she took a black hair bow and put it in her snow-white hair.

Smiling at her reflection, she headed out the door to where her parents were waiting.

"Mommy! Daddy! Can we go to uncle's restaurant now?"

Lumi bounced in place, and her mother chuckled.

"Of course dear. Would you like to pick up Finn on the way?"

Lumi nodded frantically.

Even though Finn was almost 7 years older than her, she was still Lumi's best friend. They hated being apart from each other, so much so that Finn moved next door to Lumi.

Lumi's mother smiled and walked towards her husband, giving him a peck on the lips before grabbing her keys and walking to her car.

Lumi hugged her father before racing to the car and jumping into to the seat behind her mother.

The child looked out the window as the car moved, pulling up in front of the house next door.

"Okay Lumi, go knock on the door and tell Finn that it's time!"

Lumi unbuckled and ran up to the door of the house, knocking on it excitedly.

A tall-ish girl with reddish-brown hair and pale skin opened the door, her hazel eyes lit up.

"LUMI!"

The two girls hugged before they got back in the car and buckled up. "How have you been Lumi?"

"I've been good!" The whitette said with a smile. "I get to go to uncle's restaurant today! He said he had a surprise for me!"

Finn smiled. "That's great!"

They arrived shortly, and Finn helped Lumi get out of her car seat.

They walked into World of Imagination, where Lumi's uncle was waiting at the front, along with someone Lumi hadn't seen in a year.

"Kai!"

Lumi ran up to her brother, giving him a giant hug.

Her uncle patted her on the shoulder.

"There you are, my little engineer! Come on, I've got someone special for you to meet!"

Finn and Kai stayed with Lumi's mother to set up a few things.

Lumi followed her Uncle Afton, her short self finding it a little hard to keep up with the much taller man.

Soon, they reached the maintenance room, where Lumi waited patiently while Uncle Afton unlocked the door.

Inside the maintenance room was dark, but Lumi's eyes adjusted quickly, causing her to blink a bit when Uncle Afton turned the lights on.

On the bench sat a lovely new fox animatronic.

She was white, but mid thigh, mid arm, and mid ears, her fur changed to light blue. Her tail tip and the top of her muzzle were also light blue. The fox also had two black stripes on her arms and legs. Her ear tips were also black. Her eyes matched Lumi's exactly.
