"hello? earth to jisun?"

gyuri waved her hands in front of jisun, trying to get her back to reality.

"gyuri... what are you doing here?"

"i heard there was cake?"

///

long story short, jang gyuri bought the company.
the girl who once was rumoured to be kicked out of the company finally bought the company and brought back the girls.

all 9 of them now sat in silence, all too shocked to comprehend the information. all of them were chewing on their cake... slowly. meanwhile, gyuri was enjoying her cake and was also staring at jisun.

and that was when it hit saerom. one by one, she made the members leave the living room to let the two girls have their own time alone.

the girls were all confused but listened to their leader anyway. all of them gathered out on the front porch, looking back into the villa through the glass windows.

it was cold, too cold. the girls started breathing against the glass windows, creating fog and drawing hearts and stars out of boredom.

"jisun.."

"yeah?"

"you're not married to the guy, right?"

"i would never."

"why not?"

"well, i've been waiting for someone."

jisun stared at the space in front of her, too shy to look at gyuri.

the taller girl let out a smile.

"but jisun..."

she turns to face jisun with the same smile on her face.

"hmm?" still not laying her gaze on gyuri.

"i'm want to ask you something..."

gyuri looks back at her fidgeting hands, getting slightly nervous.

"what is it?"

jisun answered, still not brave enough to look at gyuri. this time, she has a slight smile plastered on her face, glad that she waited for a while.

"i'm...."

gyuri pressed her upper and bottom lip together. the tension is killing her.

"i'm really, not late, right?"

she turns to look at jisun, searching for her eyes, hoping to find the answer she was looking for.

the memories of them practicing till late at night flashed through her mind. the memories of them staying up in the dorms, playing together, and teasing each other non-stop came to mind. oh how much she has missed them.

"no, you're not late at all."

relief was the only state gyuri was in. she smiled, still staring at jisun and reminiscing those memories when they were younger. her smile got bigger when she realised how much she's missed her and the girls, and how much they've all grown individually.

gyuri looked away, too embarrassed with her own feelings.

"you're really not late at all."

jisun answered again, reassuring the taller girl and finally building up the courage to look at gyuri. they smiled and slowly burst into a giggle together.
