Lloyd's POV I was walking down to the bridge of the Bounty to see when we would arrive at the eastern coast bay, where Timmothy Batterson's home was. But on my way to there, I saw Nya who seemed to be waiting for someone Once she saw me, we looked at each other awkwardly for a second, until I tried to speed walk towards the bridge, seeing Nya's face reminded me of how stupid I was all these years, which angered me, and I didn't want to tap into my angry side ever again
I decided that ignoring Nya would be the best choice to make right now
But it didn't matter because Nya caught up to me and tapped my back
I turned around pretending like I haven't noticed her before
"Oh hey" "Hey" She looked like she wanted something so I asked her "What do you want?" She looked around the main deck, almost as if she was making sure that nobody else was around
Then she looked at me directly in the eyes
"Lloyd, I..." I cut her off because i knew what she wanted "Nya, I'm not gonna...we cant...I just...look, I...I just dont want to cause more suffering to other people in my life, Jay would be devastated, and I would forever live with the guilt that I caused someone else to suffer." Nya looked down with sadness
"I've already cause so many people so much pain in my life Nya, I dont want to screw things up like i always do"
Nya quickly raised her head in shock
"What?!? When have you ever caused pain and suffering to other people before???"
I didn't really feel like talking to Nya anymore
"Never mind"
"But Lloyd, all that you've done is nothing but good, you constantly save the team from dangers, you've saved the entirety of Ninjago countless times, you've comforted me and encouraged me when we were the hunted, have you forgotten all of that?"
Whenever I think of the times me and Nya were the hunted, I can remember how we thought we were the last of the ninja and constantly cared for each other. We would somehow manage to make the worst of days bearable with each others company, and at the time, I fell in love.
But all of those happy memories are clouded by the chaos and destruction my father caused, which could've been prevented if I wasn't stupid
Now, whenever I think of those times, it's hard not to think of all the terror and pain I caused, it was all my fault
I looked at Nya who was waiting for an answer "No Nya, I haven't" "Then why are you denying what is happening between us, I'm not happy, your not happy, we cant stay like this, and Jay could find a better girlfriend, I've known him better than you, and I know he can manage, he's mature enough " I thought about what Nya said for a bit, and she was right. Jay is stronger than me, he could handle it, I wouldn't let fear control me
"You know Nya, you may be rig-" I was interrupted by Kai on the intercom
"Everyone to the main deck, we have arrived"
Me and Nya were already at the main deck
I looked at Nya "Well, anyway-" I saw in the corner of my eye Jay and Cole arriving to the main deck
Nya's POV
I looked into Lloyd's eyes for him to finish what he was saying until I noticed he was looking at something that was behind me, I turned around to see what he was looking at, it was Jay and Cole
Jay looked at Lloyd with a smile on his face, it looked more like a sarcastic smile rather than a genuine one I turned over to Lloyd who glanced at me one last time before leaving me alone with Jay and Cole, it was clear that Lloyd was not comfortable in front of Jay
Cole followed Lloyd to the bridge of the Bounty
Jay looked at me with the same sarcastic smile
A few minutes ago, while Lloyd and Nya are talking: Cole's POV
I went to my room and put my Gi on and quickly made my way into Jay's room to tell him what I saw Lloyd do his room
Jay was closing the door to his room with his Gi on and was waiting for me
"So, what did you want to tell me?"
"Okay, I was making my way to my room with my plate of tres leches cake, when I got distracted by a loud noise coming from Lloyd's room, so I went their and-"
"Oh yeah! While we're in the topic of Lloyd, guess what happened when Nya came back?"
"What?"
"She came back crying, so I asked what's wrong, but she wouldn't say, and here's the thing, she ALWAYS tells me what's wrong, ALWAYS. So this was already kinda weird, but it got weirder when I saw Lloyd passing by her room where I was hugging her, and Lloyd looked devastated, Nya then said that im the best boyfriend one can ask for, so this can mean one of two things, one, Nya was just sad for a reason irrelevant to Lloyd, or two, she got rejected by Lloyd, and Lloyd feels guilty for messing something up yet again"
"Or Nya's faking it, you never know Jay"
"Come on Cole, what are the chances of that happening?"
We were interrupted by Kai over the intercom
"Everyone to the main deck, we have arrived"
Me and Jay headed for the main deck, I guess I would have to tell Jay about Lloyd's outburst later
When we got to the main deck, me and Jay saw Lloyd and Nya talking alone, Jay fake smiled at Lloyd, which I guess made Lloyd uncomfortable, because he left I assumed Jay and Nya had alot to discuss to left them alone to talk
Third person POV
Once Lloyd was out of Jay's sight, he headed for the back of the Bounty, where he saw the sunset, and how beautiful the clouds looked from all the way up in the sky
For the first tim in months, Lloyd stopped focusing on the past, and stopped reminding himself of his past mistakes. For the first time in months, Lloyd just live in the moment, not caring for anything or anyone in the past
He just thought about Nya, and how somehow, Nya was the only person in the universe who made Lloyd feel like there is great things in life
"As long as I have my power, and breath in my body, I'm going to protect you"
Those words Nya said when they were hunted, have stuck to him, and have help him get through the toughness of every day for him
Lloyd stopped and thought for a second
"Could I start to love again?"
Alrighty that was one of my nicest chapters so far in my opinion, now it's really starting to form into a lloya book
Speaking of which, as of now, we are at #1 in lloya!!!
