WENDY'S, ATLANTA, GA | MAY 20TH, 2019 (15:20)

Simone stares at her baby sister as she consumes the food on the plate. Ravishing through it and covering her face in the sauce. She remembered the day her mother told everyone that they were going to be someone else's children. The day after a couple came to take them away, but Mary ran off with Star and Simone, and a baby, Solana. She recalled how Mary lashed out, beating them with their toys. How they hid in the basement, until returning to Pittsburgh with the three. How after her death, they only found Solana under a pile of clothes and trash. Solana was only six months when Mary died. Those were her few memories of how life was.

"So, aren't you supposed to be in school?" Simone said. Solana shakes her head at the question, "Solana, you are only 14, you should be in school."

She remained quiet, "Don't you have a family." Solana nodded to the question, "Where the hell are they then?" The girl returned to eating, but more gently, "Olympia." She said with food crowded in her mouth.

"Where is Olympia?" Simone probed to no answer, "I said where is Olympia?" She raises her voice, causing people to stare.

Solana incoherently replies beneath her breath before eating again. Simone angrily pulls the plate towards her, causing Solana to accidentally stab the table. Solana glared at Simone and Simone gave her a death stare.

"Repeat, coherently and loudly." Simone demanded, "Near Seattle." Solana quietly revealed. "Seattle? As in Seattle, Washington?"

Simone remembers the camping bag she hid on the other side of her car, "Were you sleeping in a tent while traveling to Atlanta?" Solana nodded.

"And when it rained I stayed in the shelter." Simone stared at her with shock, "How the hell did you travel to..." She groans, pulling her head back.

"Why did you run away? You have a family." Solana rolled her eyes, "They are probably searching for you."

"No their not." Solana quietly scoffed, "And why the hell would you think that?" Simone demanded.

"They hate me." Solana mumbles, "Oh so what did they do." Simone said in an angry sarcastic tone.

Solana glared in annoyance at Simone, twisting her lips, "They..." She shook her head, placing her hand on the plate and pulling it forward to her.

"You won't understand?" Tears streamed down her face, "My mom died and I hate my dad, especially that bitch." She wheezed.

"My brothers all live in Seattle and they said I would have to go there. And they hate me too. They said I should fuck off, so I did." Solana quietly sobbed.

Simone looked outside to see two flashing cameras in her direction, "Solana, let's go we will figure this out later."

DIANE'S CABIN, CEDAR KEY, FL | 15:47

Star woke up, sheets lightly covering her body and the smell of bodily fluids on her body. Her body was in tremendous agony with the bruises to prove it. She could barely get up from the bed and felt a heavy feeling in her chest. Her headspace at first was too poor for her to comprehend her surroundings.

But when she remembered the events of the previous night, all she could do was cry. A strong and unbearable feeling roamed in her stomach. As she felt the inability to breathe, strangling her. When fingers grazed her face, she felt polished lumps. All she wanted to do was die. With a numb feeling persistent in her body. The feeling was ironic as she could feel her body tensing up and felt overwhelmingly feverish. Tremors traveled within her skin and blood vessels.
