Carlotta swallowed the last drip out of the bottle, slamming it onto the nightstand.
She lets out a burp before clearing out her throat. "Cotton!" She stammers, "Cot!" Carlotta tries getting out of bed but falls out.
Cotton is washing the dishes when she hears the great thump above her. She shakes her head dropping the dishes into the sink. She heads over to her mother, strutting to the stairs. When she gets there, she is perplexed by the sight of her mother crawling down the stairs.
Carlotta goofily looks at Cotton, "I didn't wanna fall." Carlotta hiccups soon after, jerking back and forth. She pukes on the stairs, sliding down after, "Mama!"
"I'm fine!" Cotton jogs up the stairs, "You got to stop drinking." Cotton pleaded, "Isn't it enough that I got to take care of Derek and Alex, now I have to care for you."
Carlotta struggled up, gripping on the railing, "Then leave my ass alone." Carlotta slurred whilst attempting to stand up, "I'll do everything alone like I always do."
Carlotta turned her back on her daughter stumbling on the stairs. Nearly falling down the stairs again, a few times. Cotton followed her as she stumbled over to her bedroom.
"Mama! Listen!" Carlotta waddled over to her room, "Leave me alone, Cot." Cotton marched after Carlotta.
"Mama gotta..." Carlotta turned around and slapped Cotton, nearly knocking her to the ground. "Mama!"
Carlotta ignored Cotton and stumbled over and into her bedroom. Cotton crumbled down to the floor, hugging herself. Things have been out of control lately, and Cotton has been left alone with all the burdens of family.
