I have waited longer than most people, asking myself when I would finally meet my soulmate, and apparently, this was today, a very random day where I just wanted to eat. I was excited to talk more with them and see how do we complete each other. The Amazons don't have soulmates but I was special, Antiope made it clear to not let them get over me and distract me but my mother didn't saw it like that, for her soulmates complete you and make you stronger.

I was in Gotham because it will be Bruce's birthday and I was invited to the party.
I thought of inviting y/n, this would for sure be pleasing. They were lovable to talk with, taking them with me to the party would be nice. I saw them coming back to me.

"Now we got some minutes." Y/n

"Good, I want to spend more time with you." Diana

"Me too, you look so cool to talk to."

"Haha, you too. Now tell me more about you."

"There isn't really something interesting about me and you already know where I work at. What about you ?"

"Oh, I work in a museum. I'm fascinated by history."

"Wow, maybe you can make me visit one day."

"With pleasure."

We looked at each other softly for a moment but it was not an awkward silence.

"And you are working here ?"

"No, not in Gotham sadly."

"Oh. And why are you here so ?"

"I was invited to Bruce Wayne's birthday party and I was about to ask do you want to come with me ?"

"Really ?! Sure why not."

"Nice, can I have your number ?"

"Yes. Can I have a pic of you and your number ?"

"Only if I can have one of you too."

Why did I say yes again ? Oh yeah because with her eyes she distracted me. Of course, I wanted to be with her again but the first date at a party full of people you don't know of and that don't have the same wealth as you and where you didn't even know personally the birthday person is stressful just to though at. I didn't have any fancy clothes so I had to buy some. The price was way too high for something that I would probably wear only once but oh well, have to look good for my mate.

I facepalmed myself for not telling her that I have 6 soulmates. I always told to myself when I would meet one to tell so I don't waste my time with them if they wanted to reject me. I could tell her by texting message but I didn't have the courage to.

It was the day of the party, I prepared myself to wait for her. When she arrived I went out of my apartment.

"Y/n you look stunning !"

I blushed and responded awkwardly.

"Thank you. You too."

I went into the car with her. During the drive we couldn't stop talking, it all went natural without me acting clumsy, it's like we knew each other since forever. What I noticed from all the ride to the parth was her smile, she was showing all her teeth. It lighted up the mood, and made the atmosphere even more lovely.

We finally arrived and this manor was huge! I never went into a manor but still. But I stopped to be in awe when I saw all the rich people, I felt so out of place, I thought I didn't look as good as them but my negative thoughts went all away when Diana took my hand in hers, it was so warm.

For the rest of the party I felt like a puppy following Diana everywhere too scared to be left alone. They all scared me, when one talked to me, they acted so fake and were very narcissistic. Diana saw that I was uncomfortable and responded to me instead. I went to take drinks for us, when I came back I saw her talking to Bruce Wayne himself.

I came closer to them, this man was really handsome, his raven hair was perfect without any strand of hair out of place, and his intense blue eyes urg. He was also very tall and buff too but I didn't felt intimidated, his smile was comforting. I stopped myself from admiring him and passed the drink to Diana and drank mine.

I silently panicked in my head when I saw them, even if outside I looked alright, I knew I would have probably met them again, but at least it wasn't like Batman. I didn't know they were a friend of Diana, that would make it harder to not saw them again. I just wanted to spend time with them now but I couldn't.

"You're a friend of Diana, nice to meet you, miss/mister..?"

"Y/n, nice to meet you too Mr. Wayne."

They smiled at me. I took their hand and kiss it, they blushed at it. Their hand was very soft, this was satisfying to put my lips on.

"Calm down with the flirt Bruce. They're my soulmate."

Diana chuckled. What she told me took me back. Fate wasn't on my side and apparently did everything to make it harder for me to ignore them.

"That's fantastic! Congrats to you two."

I felt bad, I was acting like I had a crush on him when he wasn't even my soulmate but something about him made me wanted to stay near him and he couldn't stop looking at me and I didn't felt uncomfortable, the opposite actually.

We talked just the three of us all night. For a first "date" it felt great, I always thought that I would be very awkward and clumsy when I would meet my soulmates but they are your other parts for a reason.

I passed a lot of time with Diana before she left Gotham, fortunately, she was not too far away but still, taking the same appartement would have been too fast so we could just wait.
