Missed Me?

Eleanora's POV

Keeping up with Severus is a fucking task I'll tell you that much. Like what the hell? He just fucking glides. I should stop and see how long it takes him to notice. Just as I stopped his voice rings over his shoulder.

"I dare you.." This will be fun. I don't move. He takes two more steps and stops. He, might I say dramatically, turns around to face me.

"Eleanora.."

"Yes Sev?"

"Why are you stopped?"

"Oh my bad. Was I supposed to be following you?" I give him my best smug, innocent grin. Before I realize what he is doing, I'm thrown over his shoulder and he continues his walk to the apparition point.

"You know if you had just walked slower you wouldn't have to be doing this?" I get absolutely no response, not even a sigh. I'm about to talk again when I feel his hand tighten around my thigh warning me against pissing him off more. We finally make it to the apparition point, and Sev gives my leg a quick squeeze in warning before we apparate. Seconds after the crack signifying our arrival, Severus sets me back on my feet. A brief glance around the room tells me all I need to know about where we are at. It should have been pretty obvious Severus was bringing us to his home. I've known him for well over three decades, so if I was to take a guess as to why we are here I am certain I'd be correct. Nevertheless, with Severus choosing to ignore me I only have one option left; talk some more.

"What are we doing in your house Severus?" I asked, knowing damn well we were here so he could pack a bag for his stay with me. All I received in response was a 'you know why, stop being a pest' look before he quietly glided away. Of course I follow. Let's see what question or topic will break his silent treatment? He seems extra stubborn today, so I've got my work cut out for me. Ah, maybe this will work.

"Okay Sev! It was good seeing you, but I must be heading home. I'm awfully tired." I tried to give my fake farewell in my best cheerful voice. Severus stops abruptly causing me to smirk quickly before I went back into character in case he turned around. He turns just enough for me to see his 'stop fucking playing with me' look before he continues through the house. Fine two can play this silent game!

I make it to Severus' room where he is packing a bag, so my assumption was correct. Go me! He doesn't even glance in my direction. Okay, asshole. I make my way over to his bed and take a seat. Damn I really am exhausted. I lay back so I'm looking up at the ceiling with my feet still on the floor. If Severus thought for even a brief second my shoes were going anywhere other than the floor, I'm sure it would send him into a murderous rage. Understandably so. I'm very surprised he did not make me leave my shoes at the door. I almost forgot about the silent treatment, and had to quickly stop myself from asking Sev if he remembered the time Lucius and I charmed a mud puddle in the doorway of the Slytherin common room. Severus spent hours trying to undo it because mud was literally everywhere. I eventually felt bad and let Sev come study in the Ravenclaw common room with me. Lucius however would not let me lift the charm because Narcissa was now the one trying to keep everything clean.

I really am awful at the quiet game, and Severus is completely unbothered. Usually I am perfectly okay sitting in the silence, why is it so hard now? Ugh! I know Severus will never break. I should've known better than to silently start this challenge. He probably doesn't even realize we are in a competition right now. El, you need to relax. This position on the bed is actually quite comfortable. I can feel my back stretching nicely. I might just close my eyes and relax for a minute or so.

SS POV

After walking away from Eleanora I go straight to my room and grab a duffel bag to start packing. She knows why we are here, and I know she's not leaving like she tried to pretend. Right on cue she walks into my room. I have to bite back a smug look. Hopefully she'll continue to ramble about something. Usually the more I give her the silent treatment the more she talks and Merlin do I love the sound of her voice.
