Part 4 - The Stone Mask

Today was just another completely normal day. You weren't doing much although you had planned to meet up with (F/N) today.

[At (F/N)'s House.]

"Man. I can't believe you ended up staying the night (Y/N), and you won't even tell me what happened. I'm a bit concerned." Your friend said looking at you as you both sat on their bed.

You felt bad for not telling them about anything that went down, but you knew it was for the best. Anything that had happened between you and Dio had to be kept between the both of you for the safety of yourself and others.

"I'm telling you, nothing happened. I just spent the night and left the next morning. The day before all that really happened was me and Jonathan went to the lake for a little swim. I promise nothing happened." You aimed a soft smile at your friend.

You punched their shoulder

"Besides, not like you care about boy stuff anyways" you chuckled.

"I so do, you just totally suck at taking hints from guys who like you. Jonathan definitely has a thing for you." (F/N) exclaimed beginning to laugh at your tomato coloured face.

"Yeah whatever. I think I'm going to go out today. But, I don't want to see anyone if that's okay. I just want to be left alone to think about some things." You stood up to grab your bags while taking your exit.

"Oh. That's okay. Well, have fun. Come see me whenever." Your friend said waving goodbye

"Thanks, see ya later." You softly smiled as you waved goodbye.

Before you went to sit alone on the field you quickly went home to retrieve your dog. Her name was Amber, she wasn't too old but you had her for quite some time now.

You and Amber sat on the field together, you both cuddled up underneath the shade of a tree, you spoke to your dog. Crazy but it comforted you.

You would've felt so lonely at home if it weren't for her.

"I wonder what Jonathan and Dio are doing. I hope Jojo's okay." You muttered then sighed as you looked at the blue sky.

You looked beside your lap to notice your dog was gone.

"Amber?!" "AMBER?!" "COME HERE GIRL!!!" You had no idea where she could've gone. It was like a split second until she disappeared.

All of a sudden you heard her barks. They weren't pained barks but, excited barks?

You saw Dio, trying so hard to get the dog off of himself. You ran over to grab the dog just before he had the chance to kick it. You knew full well what he had done to Danny because of stories from Jonathan.

"Sorry Dio. I didn't expect anyone else to be here today." You had one hand on Ambers collar while your other hand was on your thigh as you were gasping for air from running such a distance.

"Keep your filthy mutt under control." The blonde boy looked down at you with a disgusted expression.

"I'm sorry. She didn't mean any harm." You stood up straight, going to turn around back to the tree.

"What are you doing here alone? You could get abducted." The boy said before you started walking away.

"Well I wanted to be alone today, after everything that... happened that day. I haven't felt the best. I've been confused."

You looked at your shoes getting a little flustered thinking of the day he stole your kiss.

"My apologies. I didn't think it would bother you so much." He said right before you both went silent for a good 20 seconds.
