Terrible

I feel terrible, I just want to go home already, I've been holding back so many coughs it hurts. How much longer? I hear the bell for lunch ring, I stand up quickly as I feel the rising coughs and bolt to the closest bathroom and go to the first stall locking it before I hack up all the petals and flowers down into the toilet. The scent of flowers and slight blood was making my head spin and ache. 

I calmed myself down and fixed myself before going out again, only to run into C/N again. 

"Hey Y/N, are you okay? you've been looking pale all day." 

"Y-yeah, of course, I'm okay... Just a bit under the weather." 

I smiled at C/N hoping he would leave it at that, but I should have known he wouldn't. 

"Let's take you to the nurse's office just in case alright?" He smiled at me and I just couldn't bring myself to decline his offer.

Now here I am in the nurse's office being checked by her, my palms were all sweaty and gross because of how nervous I was about being found out in front of C/N. 

"Y/N, have you gone to the doctor about this??"

"No..." 

".... I'm afraid to tell you that you have the Hanahaki disease." 

C/N stared at me looking slightly shocked as he heard the news, the nurse looked between us then stood up.

"It's my lunch, I'll be going now." The nurse walked out of the room leaving me in a panicked state while C/N stared at me, he suddenly sat down next to me and put an arm over my shoulder which made my chest hurt and my stomach churn. 

I loved that he was close and being next to me and giving me affection, but it killed me inside, quite literally. I felt the petals trying to force their way up as I gulped them down. 

"Who is it? You can tell me Y/N..." He leaned closer to me softly whispering to me and looking straight into my eyes with a worried look. I almost coughed but I sucked in a breath and brushed his hand away.

"N-no one important- cough!"  I went into a coughing fit right in front of him, I covered my mouth and felt the petals fall into my hand along with blood. C/N Held me close to him which made everything worse as I shook from the force of the coughs. 

"Y/N! Calm down, it's okay!" I slowly started coughing less and eventually, I was not coughing at all.

"Thanks, C/N..." He smiled at me brightly 

"Of course, Y/N."
