Chuuya along with the members of the port mafia widened their eyes when they realized that only junichiro was actually present and the rest of them were hollograms.
"you can create illusions i see" said chuuya standing up.
"kenji broke through the hospital wall, and took the president. Everyone left with them a long time ago. " declared junichiro.
"in order to give your team enough time to escape you sacrificed your life to decieve us" stated akutagawa.
"i havent given up my life, i have a message from ranpo..." said junichiro.
"capture the gifted who made the virus?" asked atsushi.
currently all the members of the armed detective agency were in the van except for dazai and junichiro.
"thats right, if we were to fight the mafia head on people will surely die to avoid that we have to change the rules if we find the creator of the virus and either kill them or have dazai touch them we'll save everyone. " explained ranpo.
"that sounds great but what if that ability user has already left town?" asked atsushi.
"i can asure u they havent, no one releases poison without having an antidote so during the canabilizing process our target will stay in yokohama, according to dazai the gifted whom this virus belongs to was refferred to as a criminal if thats the case, theyre basically trapped in yokohama the usual escape routes are being watched by the agency and the underground by the port mafia, i just need the intelligence gathered on all of the gifted who live here, that will be more than enough for me to figure it out."
"you spoke to dazai? is he well?" asked a concerned y/n.
"don't worry about your boyfriend, hes well enough." said ranpo smirking.
"he's not my boyfriend!" exclaimed y/n with pink tinting her cheeks.
atsushi and kunikida were currently scoping out ranpos theory and what appears to be the hideout of the virus weilding gifted, named pushtin was right before them.
y/n, kyouka and kenji were the only ones left to wait in the van and protect the president while ranpo and yosano go to checkup on atsushi and kunikida.
"hey kenji, kyouka arent you scared?" asked y/n sitting on the floor while crouching her knees and burying her head on top of them.
"why would i be scared? everything always work out! whatevers meant to be will be!" exclaimed kenji.
"i guess your right..." replied y/n.
"theres no need to be scared we'll all protect eachother." said kyouka.
y/n smiled and hugged the both of them.
"i love you guys so much!" she squealed as they both chuckled.
everyone had gotten back in the van and we were now on the way to save junichiro. we allowed kyouka to go in through the window and rescue him while the rest of us waited in the van since she knew the port mafia base better than anyone. junichiro came back badly injured but not to the point of death so i decided i could use my angel blood to heal him so that we can leave all the serious injuries to yosano. we allowed a red headed girl that atsushi was familiar with to protect our president by placing him in a room using her ability, no one can enter or leave without her approval so we figured that was the safest option.
"i just recieved a message. it said do not fight the port mafia. our president gave that order from his death bed so shouldnt we forget about fighting and find a way to capture whoever controls the virus?" atsushi questioned.
while everyone was talking y/n felt as though something in her gut was telling her this is wrong.
suddenly she was snapped out of her thoughts when everyone started getting up.
"kunikida, y/n what about you?" asked ranpo.
"we have our orders. the president wants us to keep the city safe and stable, protect the citizens from fyodor who wants to destroy everything in yokohama."
"so then do u intend to try to find the gifted?"
"NO! if i attempt that more innocent people will die!, like that little girl!, if another death like that happens before my eyes.. how do i live with myself?! said kunikida looking like he was on the verge of loosing it.
"ill stay with atsushi and kunikida, i figure staying in groups will keep us all safer, good luck out there, please be safe." said y/n feeling worried for all her comrades ranpo gave her a pat on the head then he tried giving kunikida his own version of a peptalk and walked out along with everyone else aside from y/n, atsushi, and kunikida.
