chapter 1: The Train and The Sorting

      This feels strange, shopping to be a wizard after getting everything I needed I headed back to my apartment. I have been living alone since I was 16 years old after my parents passed away. They passed away in a strange way no cuts, no poison, they just dropped dead I still cry about it in my sleep. I live in a small one bedroom apartment work two jobs and when I was still in high school I made sure that I got the best grades anything to make my parents proud. As soon as I got home I dropped my huge trunk full of school supplies and collapsed into my bed exahusted I didn't have much time though because after closing my eyes for one minute I heard meowing and felt pressure on my back, it was pumpkin my calico cat and she was hungry. I let out a long groan and sat up making her slide off my back she was a dwarf calico so she was much much smaller then your average cat

She looks like a kitten but she is actually fully grown and she eats like she's fully grown to. As I was getting her food I talked to her like she was a human being. "Tomorrow we are both going to a different place, a magical place called hogwarts, your coming with me the letter said I could bring a cat, an owl or a toad" I opened the can of wet cat food and set it down for her. "I wonder if their is a spell that could make you be able to talk back" I said with a laugh while petting behind her ears as she ate her food making her cute little noises. I just sat their petting her until she finished her food then she climbed up my arm and settled on my shoulder. She always does this my shoulder is her favorite place to sit.
