The day after, Sunghoon woke up with a start. He slowly sat down on his bed and saw Jay, seated on the edge of the bed, busy typing on his phone.
Jay noticed him and shut off his phone, before turning towards him,
“Hi, did you sleep well?” he asked, smiling.
“What are you still doing here? Don’t you have classes?” asked Sunghoon, ignoring the courtesy.
“How cold. I think it’s rude to abandon your partner after such a night.”
Sunghoon staggered and blinked, stunned. Jay leaned towards him and kissed his cheek.
“W-wasn’t it a revenge against Damian?”
Jay made a face and rolled his eyes.
“Please, forget about Damian! Honestly, I have more important things to do than planning a revenge against this jerk.”
“But then, why did you tell me it was?” insisted Sunghoon.
Jay exclaimed,
“Because you keep asking why! Yesterday, you were looking at me with those puppy eyes of yours, asking for a reason! So, I had to find an excuse!”
Sunghoon was completely lost.
“An excuse? For sleeping with me? Why would you want to sleep with me if it's not that? You hate me!”
Jay planted his eyes through Sunghoon’s and said,
“You’re an A, aren’t you? Shouldn’t you be used to people falling for you at first sight already?” Sunghoon blushed violently and Jay looked down.
“I’ve been thinking about you...for a while now. At some point, I realized I was almost hoping to find you with Damian, just so I could see you.” He sighed.
“That’s why I came here yesterday. Not for a stupid revenge. I’m sorry for lying.”
Since Sunghoon was staying silent, Jay dared to throw a shy glance at him. The West had his face in his hands.
“Sunghoon, are you alright?" panicked Jay. "Are you mad at me? I’m sorry, I’m really sorry!”
But Sunghoon took his hands off and revealed his face. He was completely red, and his ears were on fire.
Jay was about to say something, but Sunghoon interrupted him by grabbing his face to kiss him. He then lied back on the bed, a satisfied smile on his face and his arm around Jay’s waist, and said,
“If it’s a dream, I hope it never ends.”
It was now Jay’s turn to blush hard.
In the early afternoon, they left Sunghoon’s room to go to class. Holding hands and bed-hair all over the place, the two boys met with a crowd of wide eyes. The westerners and northerners who assaulted Jay the day before were now badly taken aback.
Sunghoon did not bother explaining anything to them. However, it greatly amused Jay, who gave them the middle finger before leaving the corridor.
When they reached the main hall, they heard a voice calling,
“Sunghoon!” It was Damian, who came all the way to the West hoping to make up for all that happened. Curious to hear what he had to say for himself, they waited for him to get to them.
“Sunghoon, I came to apologise. I know I was a jerk, but I was so desperate to finally have an A!”
Sunghoon rolled his eyes and swore. Then, before Damian could continue, he said,
“Sorry Damian, but I’m very hungry right now, so, let’s never see each other ever again. Also, you’re banned from the A corridor, forever. Not that you could ever put a foot there anyway.” He turned to Jay, “I’ll go get myself something to eat, see you tonight.”
They exchanged a wink and Sunghoon walked away, leaving Jay to face Damian.
“So, once he appeared, I really became nothing to you, huh?” said Jay, calmly smiling.
“I’m not here to talk to you, stupid South. Who would feel anything for you after sleeping with an A?” Jay raised his eyebrows, still smiling.
“By the way, what are you even doing here after what you’ve done to Sunghoon? His groupies should already have ripped you to pieces.”
“What a good idea! Maybe I should go explain to them what you have done.” The little North turned pale and started shaking.
“I’m sure no one will want anything to do with you anymore once they’ll have disfigured you. Not even a stupid South like me.” Damian was horrified.
“But then again, who would feel anything for you after sleeping with an A?” Damian opened eyes wide, finally understanding why Sunghoon and Jay were so cosy this morning.
Seeing his face, Jay busted out laughing and declared,
“Bye, shitty Rho! I hope I’ll never see you again!”
And he left the building, leaving Damian completely appalled and livid.
