My thumbs hit the keys of my handheld SAT practice device cautiously as I meticulously picked through answers. With the SAT's only a couple days away, my need for being academically perfect is at an all time high, along with my need for my prescribed Adderall and Ativan. I shouldn't be so stressed and anxious when I've aced the practice test numerous times, but with the added pressure from Bart I've become a full on medicated zombie, running on two hours of sleep.
"Twenty- two hundred." Blair announced disappointedly. I had originally sat in the courtyard to study by myself since the library was packed, and I guess she and Serena ran into the same problem since they ended up joining me.
"That's ninetieth percentile." Serena said, her un-wavered focus on making sure she's successful with this test has been surprising to say the least. Hell, she's been studying more than me, which is really saying something.
"Which means Nelly Yuki probably got a twenty-three hundred." Blair states. Since SAT's doesn't affect our grades, I've put my little one-sided competition with Nelly Yuki aside and since then Blair has taken her own competition with the girl.
"You don't even talk to her, so why do you even care?" Serena asked
"Nelly Yuki has her sights on Yale, too. So, what are the odds of them accepting two girls from Constance." Blair asked, Serena and I groaned. "And have either of you seen Nelly Yuki's extracurriculars? I need to kick her well-rounded ass."
"And they said you've lost your touch." Serena quipped, I plugged in my last answer then sat my device down for it to process my answers.
"Serena, this is serious, Nelly Yuki must be destroyed." Serena and I laughed at Blair's antics.
"Guys."
"We're sorry, you're right." I admitted, "You do have to kick her ass because those eight extracurriculars, two of which she started, and that four point one-two gpa will kick your ass."
"Christina." Blair cries out, throwing her face in her hands.
Serena gave me a stern look, "What I'm telling her the truth." Serena put her hand on Blair's shoulder to comfort her. " Look, I've been competing with Nelly Yuki for the last three years for the number one spot in our class and we're still tied. So if she wants that one Yale spot, she must destroy Nelly Yuki."
