It was the first day of autumn, but it felt like one of the most brutally cold days a winter day could offer for Shinobu. She shivered as she wrapped herself up in a bundle of blankets, she was ill and the heater next to her feet wasn't working anymore. What. Are. The. Odds.
The butterfly girl was supposed to be in class right now, well.. Online classes. But she couldn't bring herself to open the screen of her laptop and try to focus on the boring voice of her med teacher. Kocho cringed at the thought of being extremely cold, while sick, and tired while learning things she knew years beforehand.
*knock knock*
The black haired girl groaned "Coming.." slowly standing up she approached the door, extremely unenthused, as she cracked the door open she saw a flash of pink hair. "Shinobu-san!" The girl welcomed herself into the other's room, settling down 2 cups of expensive looking hot beverages, way out of the pink haired girl's budget.
Mitsuri was wrapped up in a comfortable looking cream colored sweater, hair put up into a bun, different from her usual braids. A mask covered the bottom of her face, the girl must've known of Shinobu's unwellness.
Swiftly turning around, the taller clapped her hands together in excitement, shivering from the cold/ stale air Shinobu's room had to offer "Giyuu-san told me you were ill today so I decided to treat you to a chocolate-y drink! I hope you don't mind me stopping by, he was gonna but he seemed so busy. Kind of felt bad, maybe he isn't teacher material."
She went in to hug the smaller frame but Shinobu put her hand out, pushing the pinkette back softly by her chest "Ah! Sorry but I can't let you catch my little cold Mitsuri-san." The other's face pinkened in embarrassment, scolding herself "How stupid of me."
Kocho giggled, the giggle quickly being interrupted by her own fit of coughs. "Poor Shinobu-san.. Come sit, please, I shouldn't have allowed you to stand for so long!" Mitsuri led the other down to the couch, wrapping the smaller frame back up in a swarm of soft blankets. "You should come over to my apartment, it's so cold here, terrible for recovery-" Kanroji picked up a warm cup of hot chocolate, placing the cup onto the other's lap.
"I'm fine here, please don't fret." Liar. That's what Shinobu was. Mitsuri shook her head in disbelief at the other, "I'll drag you out of this place if I have to, you're coming with me, and you're going to get better!" Shinobu's face warmed, how caring of the other, picking up her choco and sipping at it. It felt nice to have the presence of another, Shinobu noticed Kanroji's more constant visits, they were both living a lonely college life at the moment since the cold weather held back many social events for them. Although she was quite glad they were getting more friendly with each other.
"If you insist, I guess I'll come, since you're so desperate for me to keep you company." Mitsuri's face became beet red, choking on her own drink almost dramatically "I just want you to be healthy! Also, missing classes is not gonna make things better Shinobu-san." Kocho broke out into another set of giggles, Mitsuri got flustered way too quickly and in this state, it's just the entertainment the shorter needed right now. "So mean!" Kanroji squeaked out.
Shinobu hummed in response, leaving the room in a heavy silence, only the sound of the girls sipping their drinks. Kocho rested her head onto the other's shoulder, closing her eyes and yawning. Mitsuri gave off such a warmth that could trick the shorter into believing the heater was working again. Snuggling closer to the pink haired girl, Shinobu finally fell into one of the most peaceful naps they ever had. The hot chocolate milk heated them from the inside out while the other girl seemingly smothered her in their own body heat.
