You were reading by your big window and sometimes glanced out your window and watched it rain. Your aesthetic moment was ruined when you received a phone call. You put the bookmark on the page you were on and set it down then answered the phone and put it on speaker. "Agent [y/l/n], I have a mission for you and would like for you to meet up with me at the headquarters for further instructions" the man on the phone said. "And what should I do about these accessories" you looked down to your ankles that had two foot cuffs on each ankle and then at your wrists that had cuff bracelets and then touched the one around your neck. "I'll have those removed once you get here, obviously, you will be escorted by agents" the man said over the phone. You gave a low growl. "Get your things packed and be ready in 10 minutes" before you could ask why the man hung up on you and you nearly broke your phone but calmed yourself.

You didn't have much stuff to pack since S.H.I.E.L.D didn't trust you with a lot of things, not even a tv or computer and they always monitored your phone so all you could do was read. Since you basically packed early, you waited for the agents to come and get you. You knew they arrived when they busted through your door with guns pointing at you but then put it down seeing you at your table just reading. Two agents went and grabbed you and then your belongings and sat you in the car. You looked out the car window, rain still pouring and watched as someone on the computer turned off your cuffs. You then looked away and faced down. You could've escaped but you were afraid of what'll happen if you did.

You soon entered a jet and then arrived at S.H.I.E.L.D headquarters. Two agents grabbed you and proceeded to take you inside quickly so they wouldn't get soaked in the rain. You quickly looked around then spotted a man with light brown hair who turned to you. You guys had eye contact until the agents moved your head forward.

You soon entered a room with a man and a woman. The agents sat you down and left the room. "Hello Nick" you knew he liked to be called Fury instead of Nick. You like to not listen to him a lot but have to most of the time. Fury rolled his eyes knowing you're going to annoy him. "Alright, let's get to the point, you're gonna be a spy in the Avengers to watch over their new recruit" Fury crossed his arms.

Your brows were now glued together. "What? I'm sorry but I'd rather die than go with those snobby heroes thinking they can save everyone" you huffed. It's not that you hated the idea of heroes but you never liked how their mindset was. To you heroes are just people who think they help save the world when there's always those people that were never saved. You especially hated Captain America. He may have good looks but you hated how he told you that it was best if you went with S.H.I.E.L.D when he was arresting you.

There was a reason why you never wanted to get caught by these heroes. You hated S.H.I.E.L.D knowing they'll just see you as another high class criminal when you were simply out for revenge and your powers went loose. You got revenge but the price was getting caught by the very people you hated most. "Well we both know you can hardly die [y/n], remember when we had shot you multiple times because you were escaping, you were dead on the floor for only 20 minutes and then rose back up like a zombie coming out of a grave in the movies" Fury made you remember that horrible incident. You were being catcalled by some male agents and it didn't end well.

You growled. "[y/n] I think this will be good for you, you could finally go out in the open instead of being caged in that small apartment of yours" Maria spoke up. "You have a choice Agent [y/l/n], go back to that cramped apartment and be stuck there for the rest of your life or take this mission and you can be set free and live your life without harm" Fury gave you options. You thought about it carefully. You'd love to be set free but you had to be with those snobby heroes or live the rest of your life in a cage like an animal. "Fine. What is my mission?" you finally gave in and Fury started explaining to you what your task is and then what they'll do if the mission is completed.
