A/N : Hello Readers, first and foremost thank you so so much for such an overwhelming response to my story! Thank you for all the love, votes and lovely comments!

Now that we have travelled 6 years ahead from where the story started, are you guys excited? What do you think your favorite characters are up to?

For starters, I got bored of New York city :P after writing such a major chunk of this fiction based there. While I will move to other locations too, I thought of starting off with a nice vacay feeling! The picture below is of St. Regis Maldives, and that's where the story is based for now!

Guys totally digressing but if you haven't already, you must visit this property when you go back to Maldives next! So, I am a hard core sea person as opposed to my husband, and I think I have lost count of the number of times I have visited Maldi...

Guys totally digressing but if you haven't already, you must visit this property when you go back to Maldives next! So, I am a hard core sea person as opposed to my husband, and I think I have lost count of the number of times I have visited Maldives, but we went to Vommuli for the first time just months before the second Covid wave, in January for my babymoon! I have one word for this almost virgin property and especially the sunsets - paradise!

Okay, no more time pass, I will let you read!

Happy Reading!

Vommuli Island, Maldives circa 2018

(The St. Regis, Maldives Vommuli Resort)

Nandini Murthy

"Woahhh woahh woahhhh Mr. Dufus Murthy, you have officially outdone yourself this time!" I screamed my lungs out in joy as our cute little private boat finally halted at Vommuli Island, at the beach entrance of the exotic hotel property where we were going to stay. My big brother Abhimanyu Murthy, after topping Oxford MBA some years back, had now made it to the Fortunes 30 under 30 billionaires list; which not only made him super bossy (if you can imagine him getting worse) but also made him run after everything exotic and out of reach in life. Booking the whole of St. Regis for fifteen days was one such exploit. Although Mukti & I had raised an eyebrow on this kind of unnecessary splurging, but to be fair, the guy worked too hard and hardly ever spent on himself, all his super expensive purchases were either for Mukti, our uncle & aunt or me. If this one time he planned this for his happiness, who were we to stop him?

Err..did you catch the word 'happiness'? Ask me why. I will tell you anyway! So Dufus Murthy after dating Mukti for close to seven years now, had finally asked her hands in marriage and that's why our tiny family had travelled to Maldives, for their destination wedding! We weren't expecting guests in another five to six days to start arriving; the idea was to start off as a vacation, have our close friends and Mukti's family come early, so that we got to spend some intimate time together before the Big Fat Indian Wedding saga began. Okay, when I said Mukti's family, I meant Mukti and her parents, no one else. I mean..never mind, maybe later.

Dufus laughed loudly from the boat next to ours. I mean we had arrived in three small boats of two; Chacha & Chachi were on the first one, we saw them taking selfies doing the famous 'Titanic' pose all the way, this cracked us youngsters up big time and they glared at us in return for ruining their romantic moment. I was on the second boat with Arya, now officially my fiance, after he proposed to me with a ring, a couple of months back (in front of my whole damn family!). I turned to him and he was shaking with laughter seeing my uncle and aunt's antics, I giggled some more. Dufus and Mukti were following us on the boat behind; we seldom looked back so far to give them some privacy. Come on, they had come here to get married, PDA was totally allowed!
