Valentine's Day was just around the corner, it wasn't something you or jj celebrated but ever since Sarah and John b clicked and so did Pope and Kie, they decided to get together every year to spend time with their partners but still be together and hang out.
10:00am Saturday February 14th
As the sound of my alarm clock echoed the room, I stretched my arm over to shut it
up, as I was trying to find it I discovered my boyfriends silky messy morning hair.
As I grinned to myself, I stroked his head and started rubbing my thumb back and forth, he liked that.
"Happy Valentine's Day angel" his raspy voice spoke to me
I felt hundreds of butterflies move around in my stomach, even after being together for a year you still got that same spark that you and jj had when you saw each other when you were both 15.
"Happy Valentine's Day babe" I replied, I crawled my fingers up his shoulder and started rubbing it
His hands moved from the pillow to my waist, bringing me closer planting dozens of kisses around my skin.
"Are you ready for today?" I asked, my eyes met his blue orbs as they seemed to sparkle
A shiver went down my spine
"I was born ready darling, I'm so excited to give you your gift" jj replied
"I'm excited to give you yours, I've been saving up for it" I replied, I placed my hand on to his cheek as he grabbed it and his soft lips slowly met the palm of my hand.

jjs pov:
As we all sat down at the Chateau, the smell of roses illuminated the area, the thankful and heartwarming talks echoed through my brain as I was planning on what to say to Y/N
I looked around, Pope had given Kie a new pearl necklace, John b had given Sarah matching rings and what did I give Y/N? a 2 dollar locket...
The locket was heart shaped and it had a picture of both of us together, paint was coming off and it looked used.. Y/n had given me something expensive, she had given me these new boots I've always wanted, I could never afford them but she was an amazing girlfriend so she insisted on getting me them..
The smile faded from my face, I forgot how to speak, and I felt my heart fall to my shoes
I got up and walked away to the beach, I could hear various animals, the birds chirping, the sounds of baby turtles making their way to the ocean
"jj?" I heard a faint voice from besides me, I turned around to see Y/n standing there
"Hey" I said
"Is something wrong? You walked away looking upset" she sat down next to me and placed her hand onto my shoulder
"It's just that" I turned around to face her "All of the others got their partner expensive gifts, you got me new boots but I gave you such a cheap locket, you deserve much more Y/N I want to give you so much more" I said as I cocked my head down
She cupped my face and rested her forehead against mine
"Listen j, I don't care about money" she began to explain "I care about the chemistry and connection between us"
"But-" I was cut off by her soft lips meeting mine, the world seemed to spin, I wrapped my arms around her waist bringing her closer, as she pulled away she rubbed my face
"I would never give up even 2 seconds with you for all the luxury in the world" she explained
"I don't care about what you give me or how much you spoil me I care about how you treat me, and listen you treat me like I'm royalty jj, all I care about is that we're happy okay?" she told me
A smirk began to form on my face as I let out a chuckle
"I love you so much Y/n, more than I'll ever be able to tell you and more than you'll ever know" I said
"We're happy jj and that's all that matters to me" she smiled
I leaned forward and placed my lips onto hers, she tasted like vanilla and strawberries, her two favourite ice creams.
"By the way Y/n" I chuckled
"Hmm?" She muttered
"My hands would make a better necklace than that locket"
