Hi everyone!

I completely forgot this fanfic existed due to college and social life, but my country's in lockdown again so I'll try to update more frequently. Many thanks to all the people who stuck by the story and voted and commented (it gives me a lot of motivation to write). I'll be editing the previous chapters a bit, just fyi.

Comment on the story if you have any questions or suggestions, or you can privately message me, of course!

Much love,

Euphemiya tightly clutched the hand she was holding onto, her other hand gripping her bleak-colored dress tightly. The woman she was holding onto was leaning away from her, holding Euphemiya's hand loosely, as if she didn't want to hold onto it.

They walked across a short stone bridge, where an armored man stood at the end of. The man had black hair with grey wisps on the side. Euphemiya stared at him, aware of how unashamed she looked like, but she was too amazed not to look when she realized what the man was. A witcher, evident by his amber eyes.

"Hello Vesemir. This is her," the woman said, shaking Euphemiya loose from her hand. Euphemiya withdrew her hand and began to nervously fumble with it.

The witcher, Vesemir, looked down at her. He was made aware that a young mage would be permanently joining them after she caused a mighty destruction at Aretuza, but he hadn't expected her to be so small; she couldn't have been older than six, seven at the most. Her head poked just a little over his knees.

He bent at the knees to make her more comfortable, swallowing back a chuckle as he noted the wonderment in her large brown eyes.

"Hello, young lady. My name is Vesemir, and you are?" He began calmly.

She closed her mouth and swallowed. "I'm Euphemiya,"

"Speak up," the older woman snapped.

"I'm Euphemiya," the little girl said, a bit louder.

"Hello, Euphemiya. Welcome to Kaer Morhen."

Geralt's long search for Ciri let them to conclude that Uma, the ugliest man alive, the victim of a curse, was the key to finding the young woman. They needed to lift the curse, so they took Uma from the baron's hands and to the world's greatest specialists on dark spells - to the witchers' fostress of Kaer Morhen.

Euphemiya had been tasked to retrieve Uma from the baron along with Keira Metz. Geralt, unfortunately, couldn't go with them as he and Yennefer had unfinished business to attend to in Skellige. Something with a djinn, Euphemiya understood, but Geralt hadn't said much (not that he knew much since Yennefer kept him in the dark). Euphemiya was, understandably, disappointed he wouldn't be able to travel with them. Furthermore, she was, as selfish as she was, jealous that he chose to spend the remainder of his time with Yennefer.

She shook her head, disappointed in herself. Geralt had the right to spend time with anyone he wished, even Yennefer, who, of course, wasn't a bad person. She and Euphemiya simply clashed due to a difference in personality, as Geralt said.

"Oi, state your business!" A guard yelled at them as he approached the women.

"We're here on the witcher Geralt's behalf," Euphemiya asked and the man instantly relaxed; he leaned against a pole and crossed his arms.

"Baron's not here. Rode off to find a healer. For the wife, naturally," the guard explained. Geralt had explained the Baron's situation to Euphemiya (sick wife due to the Crones).
