BETWEEN TWO BOYS

Chapter 3

I looked in his deep brown eyes. It was a feeling I'd miss for a long time. I smiled: "How could you still have a crush on me, when you didn't see me for years?"

Of course I knew I'm a famous actor so it's not hard to find a movie with me in it. But on the other side it's different to see a person privat.

He smiled back: "Good question. Well let's say you were my celebrity crush."

I turned red. I'd never heard a boy telling me so easily what he feels. But Tom has always been a direct friend when it's about the truth.

"I was your celebrity crush for 16 years? But why were you in a relationship with Jackie for some months?", I asked him.

Tom took a deep breath and made a funny face. And again I felt like I'd miss something. "What?", I said in a loud voice, "Was it a stupid question?"

Tom nodded: "Yeah it was. See Jackie and I never had a relationship ship. Obviously it looks like it but we just acted like a couple."

I'd never been so confused like that moment: "Why would you do that?"

"When we started filming the movie" , Tom started,"Jackie and I had problems to do the kissing scenes. But as you know, the movie is a novel, so we had to practice it. After some weeks it worked really well so we could stop, but the media didn't."

The last sentence sounded depressing so I just said: "Oh", and nodded slowly.
The news are always a place of truth and lies. Too good I can remember how everyone thought, Dylan was dating me, just because we ate in a restaurant.

"Well good to know it seemed real", Tom laughed. And leaned on the wall. I did the same.

After some minutes...

"Do you wanna come to Harry's party?", Tom asked me while we walked back to the others.

"Sure. Should I bring something?", I asked politely back.

Tom shook his head: "No need to. We got everything for a good evening. And also you're our guest."

We were back on the premiere. It was full of people who played in many movies. Everywhere photographers, wherever you looked and the sun shined bright. We went over to the others and Dylan came towards us.

" There you are! I was worried.", when he noticed Tom next to me his face turned serious, "hi Tom" He told us that he wanted to go in a restaurant and eat something for lunch. But I said off.

"I'm going over to Harry's house. We're gonna relax a bit and talk.", Tom added quick.

Dylan looked at me and then at Tom: "I can drive you. My car isn't far away and I can go get something to eat then."

We liked his idea and went to his car. Zendaya who came here together with Tom joined us. Soon Dylan, Tom, Zendaya and I sat in the car driving over to the party.

At first non of us were talking. I think it was an embarrassing moment even tho I didn't know why. But then Dylan turned on the radio and we listened to some music. Some minutes later we were all singing and vibing to the songs and for a moment I could forget everything.

The first person who left the car was Zendaya, because she wanted to change her clothes. Then Tom left so at least it was only Dylan and me.

"What were you and Tom talking about?", he asked as soon as the door was closed.

"Not your business Dylan! I know you're my best friend but this time I can't say it."

He gave me a curious look and wanted to know if we kissed or something. And I realized that this was my chance to find out if he has a crush on me.

"Why do you want to know? Is it because you love me more than a best friend is supposed to?!"

"Who told you that?", Dylan asked me directly. He seemed embarrassed and I felt like I just get to know his deepest secret.

I smiled: "Actually nobody. It was test." I didn't wanted to mention Tom because they hadn't a good start and this would make it even harder.

After two silent minutes...

"Well you got me", Dylan started, "but I hope we can still stay best friends like we were." I nodded surely and climbed on the front seat next to Dylan.
