As I kid, I always saw
The light in every soul
Looking love in a broken home
He left when I was young.
Rainy days and stormy nights
Blooming from the past
I learn how to survive
Without holding your hand.
Cause broken promises were made.
I don't know how to forget
The man who said I was enough
But left the minute he felt not.
Your embrace gets colder
with every passing year.
I don't even remember
the color of your eyes.
Your alcohol morning breath
it's a smell I can't erase.
You were always lost on thought
Looking for better days.
