Oh, What The Hell ( Megumi X Reader )

1 - Y/N POV

"Are you almost ready Y/N?" you hear Momo call from the living room of your shared apartment, "Noritoshi and Todo will be here soon and lord knows you need to pre game before we leave" You frown at her statement as you put the finishing touches on your outfit. Stepping back and looking at yourself in the mirror, you think you cleaned up pretty good for tonights party. You decided to pair your new black platform Doc Martin boots with your favorite black crop top and red and black plaid high waisted school girl skirt with chains. You loved the way it all worked together.

You walk out into the living room to find Momo "We'll, what do you think?" you ask. She pokes her head out from the kitchen and looks you up and down. Letting out a long whistle "I think someone is going to have a hard time keeping his eyes off you tonight" she says wiggling her eye brows as you walk into the kitchen with her. "Please, things are not like that with 'Toshi. We just enjoy each others company" you say waving away the shot she tried to give you, reaching for the bottle of wine from the fridge. "Oh you enjoy each others company alright, in each others beds" Your face reddens "Its not like that!" You shout, "We both were going through break ups. It was a better option then random hookups. A no strings agreement!" Momo laughs "Ok, but I wasn't even talking about him. I was thinking Meg's not gonna be able to keep his eyes off you"

You stop mid sip and look at her with panic in your eyes "He's going to be there?" you say lowly. "So I heard" Momo shrugs "I mean Maki and Mai are throwing the party and just like were good friends with Mai, he's friends with Maki. I figured Him, Nobora and Yuji were gonna be there" You re-cork the bottle of wine and put it back in the fridge. You take the shot glass she just tried to offer from her hand "Nobora just said her and Yuji was going. I didn't think he was going to be there. He hates stuff like this" you say before you tilt your head back and chug the shot. Your face grimacing at the after taste of vodka on your tongue and the slow burn down your throat. "things can change in two months" She says as she pours you another shot.

Its been two months since you have seem Megumi. Two months since he broke up with you. Two months of dodging him everywhere, which was pretty hard since you guys ran in the same circle of friends. You had just stopped going to big gatherings. Only hung out with Nobora and Yuji when you knew Gojo had Megumi out of town. Spent lots of time with Noritoshi since you knew there was tension between him and Megumi. They wouldn't be hanging out unless they had to. That night replays in your head over and over again. On the hard days you cry yourself to sleep still. It started with a fight over where to eat for dinner, and ended with Megumi telling you, you never took anything series, were too free spirited and that he didn't think you were compatible. Just like that it was over, he ended it.

You shivered as you downed the second shot Momo gave you. "Well I guess I really do need to pre-game tonight then" you say pouring some more shots. Momo whoops as she turns up the music, Living Dead Girl by Rob Zombie starts blasting through the speakers . She starts dancing around as she downs her shot. Your starting to feel the first shot as you pour another. Theres a knock at the front door before it swings open. Todo comes strolling in with Noritoshi following him. "There are my girls!" Todo booms as he takes in you and Momo downing shots and dancing around. "Todo!" Momo yells as she flings herself at his large frame for a hug.

Noritoshi sneaks around Todo as he stagers back from Momo's propulsion and makes his way to the kitchen. You look up as he enters giving him a shy smile. "Hey you" he says as he gives you a hug and a kiss on the top of the head. "Heyyy" you smile up at him. 'He looks good tonight' you think to yourself taking in his faded jeans, and fitted black tee. "Want some?" You ask wiggling the bottle of vodka in your hand. "I'm good thanks" he says as he watches you take another shot, "why are we pregaming so hard?" He lifts a brow as he looks at you.

You let out a huff of hot air "because I was just informed that HE will be there tonight" you say looking down at your boots. "Ooh" he says, "well don't worry, you'll have me there too" he leans over and bumps your shoulder with his. "Thanks Toshi" you coo as you lean your head on his shoulder. Your so thankful that the two of you were able to be there for each other over the past few months. Todo pops his head into the kitchen "hey, you two ready to go, it's almost 9" Noritoshi throws his arm around your shoulder as you take a swig from the vodka bottle, he squeezes you close "yup let's go have some fun"

You all walk down to Todos big black SUV. You and Momo pile in the back seat. You bounce your knee nervously as you look out the window. "Hey" Momo reaches her hand out and places it on your knee to stop its bouncing. You look over at her. "Its gonna be okay" She smiles up at you. "I know. Its just going to be so awkward, the two of us being in the same place after so long, and who knows what else I will feel when I actually see him" You say rambling. "Well, were here with you" She says "I mean my offer still stands to kick him in the shins" She beams up at you. "Momo!" you laugh "This is why your my best friend" you lean your head on her shoulder. At that moment Todo turns up the radio and starts to sing off key, causing you two to burst into a giggle fit.

When you pull up to the Zenin house, Noritoshi opens your door and helps you out of the SUV. By now your feeling a little more then tipsy. You smile at him "come on 'Toshiiii. Lets go have some fun. No more being party poopers" you throw your arms in the air twirling. He lets out a chuckle as he throws him arm around your neck as you walk up to the door. "Why am I friends with you again?" he laughs. "Because she's fun!" Momo retorts from in front of you. The four of you walk in and are right away greeted by Maki and Nobora. They both squeal when they see you.

Throwing their arms around you in a giant hug. As you pull out of the hug Noritoshi slinks his arm around your waist. "Iv seriously missed the two of you coming out to everything" Nobora says, "and I feel like you have missed so much, like the time Yuji..." She launches into a story about your clueless friend. As she's talking you feel eyes boring into you. You glance to your left, and it was like time slowed as you searched the groups of people around. Your eyes sliding from person to person till yours locked with a pair of dark blue ones. You'd know those eyes anywhere. Your heart skipped a beat as your body tenses up. You were looking at Megumi.

You snap your attention back to your friends in front of you. You can feel your body tense up, Noritoshi notices it to under his hand, he leans down to your ear "Hey are you okay?" You shake your head yes, with out taking your eyes off Maki, who's now going on about how Inumaki was out back setting up with his band. After a few minutes you spare a glance back in his direction. Megumi is still looking at you. You can feel the heat creep across your face as you blush. Noritoshi leans back down, brushing your hair to the side to reach your ear, "do you want a drink to calm your self?" You look up at him and smile shaking your head yes. He goes off to fetch your drink. When you look back Megumi is gone. Your surprised at the twinge of disappointment you feel. After a few moments Noritoshi rappers with your drinks.

His face was set in a hard line as he hands you your drink, his eyes focused behind you. "Hey is everything okay?" you ask glancing up at him. "yes just ra-" His words drowned out by Momo's as she bounds toward you "Y/N! Y/N! Lets go dance!" You brace yourself as grabs onto you and pulls. "Momo okay, okay I'm coming!" you say to her, turning to Noritoshi, "hey you get over here too! Your not just going to sulk" you call out. He has the huge shit eating grin on his face as he says "Have fun bestie" Momo pulls you to the make shift dance floor in the living room. You two start dancing around like fools, having a great time. Soon your joined by Todo and Mia, who throws her arms around you while you guys jump and sway to the music.

After a few songs you break away to go get your drink. You find Noritoshi leaning against the wall holding both your drinks. You smile up at him as he hands you your drink. "So I ran into your friend, he doesn't seem happy" he says looking at you, "you saw him before didn't you, that's why you got so timid" You swallow the contents of your cup. "yea he was across the room looking at me" you say. "I know I should hate him for how he ended things, or be hurt that he cut me out cold turkey but when I looked into his eyes, all I felt was the love I have for him. I know that sounds crazy" you shake your head turning to look at Momo going ham on the dance floor. "Not crazy at all, I still feel that way about Kasumi. Even though our break up was mutual I still love her and wish I could change things" he says.

"Speaking of" you smile as you look over to the keg in the kitchen and see Kasumi and Todo talking. "Noritoshi follows your gaze, blushing when he lays his eyes on her. "Go talk to her, you never know what could happen" you tell him as you give him a little push. "I owe you, he calls over his shoulder" as he makes his way to the kitchen. Turning around you are tackled into a bear hug by a tuff of pink hair. "Y/N!!" Yuji yells as he picks you up and spins you around. "Omph Hi Yuji!" you say as he puts you down. "I'v missed you!" he yells. "Yuji I just had lunch with you last week" you laugh. "You know what I mean! Hey come say hi to Panda he was looking for you" Yuji points over his shoulder to the couch across the room, when you look past him and your stomach erupts into butterflies as  you once again lock eyes with a pair of dark blue ones. Megumi is sitting on the couch next to Panda, drink to his lips taking a sip as he watches you. You quickly look back at Yuji. "Y-yea sure just give me a minute okay, have to pee" as you start to back away.
