Oh, What The Hell ( Megumi X Reader )

2 - Megumi POV

"Why am I being dragged to this party again" Megumi asked Yuji as he sat on the edge of his bed, watching his roommate decide what shoes to wear, knowing full well he would pick his all red high top sneakers. "Because, you need to go out and have some fun every now and then" Yuji looks up at him. "You'v barley done anything with us over the past two months. All you do is go on every mission Gojo comes to us with" Yuji finally puts on his red sneakers, making Megumi roll his eyes. "Do you ever think I don't go to these things because I don't enjoy them"

"I have. But that never seemed to be a issue before.." Yuji trails off as he looks in the mirror at him before looking down. "Before what?" He ask's raising a eye brow. "well.... before you and Y/N broke up. Look I'm sorry to bring it up but really before you would always come out" "Thats enough" Megumi said glaring back at Yuji. He knew his roommate meant well but bringing up his ex girlfriend did nothing for his mood. The fact was that he stopped going out because he didn't want to run into her. Not become he didn't want to see her, but because it was to painful.

He is haunted by that night. He hates himself for that night. He had a particularly bad day, made the mistake of asking Gojo to train. But like always Gojo who acted like he didn't have a care in the world just goofed off. He hated when Gojo acted like that, like nothing in the world bothered him. It frustrated Megumi and got under his skin. So that night when Y/N came over he was already in a bad mood, when he asked about dinner and she started giving him silly answers it pushed all the wrong buttons and he snapped at her. Not being a push over she pushed back. He had yelled back, to his surprise she just started laughing. He didn't know why but that just pissed him off even more and in that moment Y/N reminded him of Gojo. So care free and free spirited. Nothing like him. He snapped, he told her that they weren't compatible and that he was done trying.

He told her he couldn't be with someone who didn't take herself seriously and he was done. The look on her face will forever be burned into his mind. The shock, the tears welling up in her eyes. The way she said his name with so much pleading behind it. All he could do was turn his back and tell her she should leave. He didn't say another word as she gathered her things from his room, silently sobbing as she left the apartment. It took less then a hour for him to calm down and realize how bad he fucked up. Taking all his frustration for Gojo out on her. He tried to call her but it went right to her full voicemail. He raced over to her place to only be met by Momo at the door. He could hear her crying inside. "Please Momo! please let me talk to her, I fucked up" he pleaded.  "Look Meg's your my friend and all which is why I'm not kicking your ass right now, but you need to leave her be. You'll only make it worse" She had said to him before she closed the door.

He tried to call her all night, but was only met with her full mailbox. So he decided to do what Momo said, give her space. He hopped some time apart would be good for them. He planned on talking to her at the next training session, but she never showed. He noticed she stopped even coming around their friends. When ever their group got together either her and Momo where missing or her and Noritoshi. Thats when the rumors started that they were secretly dating. He couldn't look at Noritoshi again after that. They already had issue thanks to a old school family feud, but then thinking he was the one holding her at night made Megumi want to snap. So he just stopped going out with everyone. Started doing more missions with Gojo. Funny thing was the more he spent time with Gojo the more he realized why he feel in love with Y/N. Her and Gojo were very much alike. He had to think of a plan to try and get her back.

 "Welll.." Yuji said pulling him back to the moment at hand "I hear that her and Momo will be there tonight" Megumi's head snapped up at the news. "She will be? Who told you that?" he asked staring at Yuji. "Nobora talked to her this morning. She asked if she was going and she said Momo was dragging her along.. so if you want to maybe run into her it would be a good idea to go." Megumi looks down at the baggy t-shirt and jean he was wearing. "I ugh.. I'm gonna go get ready" he says at he gets up and heads to his room. Yuji couldn't help but let out a laugh.
