TW: Swearing(there will be mild swearing for the rest of the book)
Tubbo stood in front of small woodland cottage he called home, carefully calculating where to place the orange flowers he had in his hand. The hues of yellow and red covering the roof and surrounding areas. And the green, the green was beautiful. Ivy creeping up the wall, grassy herbs on the windowsill, the leaves of berry bushes, it was all beautiful. Green was Tubbos favourite colour.
The fawn had spent the entire day collecting flowers to decorate his home for when his father would return from the market in the Green Empire. It was essential for his job, but it still hurt to have him gone for weeks at a time.
Still, at least he would have flowers to come home to.
He could only hope the rain would not be too bad this time.

No eyes shifted to Tommy as he walked through the windy streets. They were all busy bringing in their belongings before the rain ruined their hard work. Good, he could sulk through the allies, wondering what he would say when he got home. Should he keep it to himself?
He truly thought he could until he saw her face in the window.
The pushed down rage of a decade came flowing up in a huge tidal wave. Why must she live in this awful place? Why should he do the chores of the entire town? Why won't she teach him to fly? Why should he hide is heritage? His life? Why hadn't she told him about what happened to the other fays?
Alyssa jumped as the door swung swiftly open.
"Tommy! Quickly come inside its going to start pouring!" She stated, going back to whatever she was doing before. Tommy was not entirely sure. " Where have you been?" She asked.
"Out"
"That is not an answer Tommy, we talked about this."
"Why does it matter? Its not bothering you." Spite laced through his voice.
"It does matter when your out till 7 with no food, and nobody seeing you all day."
Tommy didn't want to say where he was, his aunt had warned him since he was a child about the woods. But he had chased the birds through them anyways, the sadness that came with that memory was not enough to stop the rage.
" CAN'T I HAVE ONE FUCKING OUNCE OF FREEDOM?"
Tommy's voice shook, shaky breathing followed his out burst. Alyssa looked taken aback.
"Sit" she said, venom in her voice.
The only reason he didn't fucking bolt was answers, he needed answers.
The floor shrieked as his chair scraped against the split wood.
"Where... have you been" She repeated slowly.
He paused, if he wanted answers he needed the truth.
" The forest"
"WHAT?!" she shrieked "I TOLD YOU NOT TO-" she stopped quickly.
"Why" She also needed answers.
...
"Thomas"
"Because I finally got tired of this boring ass town, where else do you think I go on breaks?" The rain finally began streaking down the windows.
Alyssa paused
"I understand that this town does not have much to offer but-"
"THEN WHY DO YOU STAY?"
The question hung in the air between them, both fuming.
"I stay to keep you safe." Alyssa finally answered.
"Safe from what!? Whatever makes you pace at night?! What ever got my parents? Whatever makes YOU afraid that keeps my wings useless" Tommy rambled. " You don't need to pretend that my parents didn't die in there."
He paused after that, they had not spoken of wings or his parents for years. Tommy stopped asking after a year.
"I can see how-" she started.
"NO! You don't, you still think that they will come back. Well NEWS FLASH! The fays are fucking dead!"
Alyssa face turned to pure shock at the last statement. And the anger subdued in Tommy's voice, but did not leave. His breath quivering.
"Why?
"Why didn't you tell me?"
Alyssa only looked down in shame, the silence was only filled by the now heavier rain pounding into the stone cottage. Running down and splashing into the flowerbeds. Tommy didn't know if he was imagining steam coming out of his ears. If he weren't in the present situation he would have laughed at that.
The young boy bolted, no longer desiring the information that would not be given to him. Alyssa just watched, feeling the guilt wash over her.
______________________
This was the worst storm that both Tubbo and Tommy had ever seen. The rain came down in puddle sized drops, obscuring Tommy's vision and clouding Tubbo's windows.
Both of them thought of the other, wondering what they would be doing in the rain. Tommy was scared, he didn't know where he was going. Only that his pride and anger would not allow him the go back.
His delusional mind led him into the forest, down the path he followed to find Tubbo. Silently hoping that he would find the young fawn. The trees provided some protection from the rain, but the blonds feet still sunk into the soft mud. The thunder only got louder as he traveled deeper.
His mind finally left him once a small cottage covered in flowers came into view.
