Driver's license part 2

Mallika and sumedh were walking hand in hand in the park where they used to visit together.

enjoy this, juz enjoy this now.

"I am going to get my lisence today" mallika said. " I can finally drive. Then I will be able to see u anytime I want without asking my brother to drop me off."

sumedh pulled his hand out of her grasp and stopped walking.

you have to do it now. you can't let her live a lie. it's not fair to either of you.

why am i doing this again?

because u r a coward. his subconscious mind reminded him. 

"About that Mikku" he said rubbing his back neck nervously.

"Is everything fine?" Mallika asked

"Ya..umm well no..can we sit down for a second??" He walked to a nearby bench in nd sat. mallika followed.

" Sumedh u r scaring me" she said concerned "you know u can talk to me about anything"

"Mallika, I really like..I really really do.."

"Yeah jaan, I think we have established that" mallika said growing impatient. "We have been dating almost a year"

"Mallika...I think well may be we should take a....break" he shuttered

"what?"

u r killing me. She sounds so surprised. She sounds sad.

"I think we should take a break, for a bit u know..how others take..see other people"

way to go. now she thinks u cheated on her.

"Ohh"

"We can still be friends!" He quickly said "I don't want to lose u r a big part of my life"

too big part of my life. i am scared. i have never felt this way and i am scared.

"Was it something I did?" She asked

"What?" sumedh asked, startled

" Was it something I did?" She repeated "or it is...u know... someone else"

"U didn't do anything mallika!! It's..it's juz me"

it's me. i am coward.

" I need to get going.." she mumbled and got up nd started to walk quickly

"Mikku..." he stood up but didn't follow

" I have to go sumedh.." her voice cracked

"Pls forgive me mallika.." he whispered

She didn't turned back nd quickly went away..holding back her tears not to break down infront of him. She left...

sumedh pulled up on the driveway. he slammed the door and fumbled with key to unlock the front door.

"finally! do u see what the time it is?" rohan asked

sumedh didn't answered instead he threw off his jacket.

"it's 3 am sumedh!" rohan yelled. "i know i am not that great in taking care but even i know 3 am is no time to come home."

"sorry" sumedh mumbled.
