driver's license part 4

the bell rang and students scrambled out of the classrooms. Mallika was stood in front of her locker, putting her books away, when mia walked by.

"hey, mia!" mallika called.

"yeah mallika?" mia asked. they had barely ever talked, so this must have seemed weird to her.

"i have something to tell you." mallika said

"what is it?"

"well, u see, i found out that david likes u, don't ask me how i just know. and i was wondering if u liked him?"

"really?" mia asked eagerly. "how do u know?"

didn't i just tell u not to ask that?

  "david told me, he wanted to ask u if u liked him. he wants to ask u out."

"i do mallika, i really like him"

"brilliant!" mallika grinned. " well then expect to be ask out soon."

"thanks! mallika" mia said and walked to her friend.

now i just have to tell david

as if he was reading her mind, david appeared infront of her.

"well?" david said impatiently.

"hello to u too!" mallika said sarcastically

"what did she say?"

mallika looked down sadly and instantly david's smile fell. but suddenly started laughing

"what? u r laughing at my misery" david asked

"no!no!" mallika said quickly. "it's just that she said she likes u"

"she said-"

"she likes u." mallika repeated.

"she likes me?" mallika nodded

david suddenly picked mallika, making her squeal in surprise. he spun her around.

"david put me down!"

"thank ! thank u so much! u r the best friend and sister i got." he said as he set her on ground.

"your welcome and not butter me more"

"i could kiss u right now, am so happy."

"save the kissing for mia" mallika said.

"thanks siso" he leaned down and kissed her cheek.

"your most wlc"

"i am going to kill u dhruv singh!" mallika said into the phone nut her brother had already hung up.

"i guess he just told u?" she heard sumedh say from behind her.  she put her phone back and turned around " yes he did."

"ready to go then?" sumedh gestured to his car.

"you don't have to, i can just get an Uber."

i really don't want to get in a car with you. Alone. i might end up klling you or worse, snogging you.

"it's fine, really it is."

"it's complete opposite way from your home!" mallika said stubbornly.

"i have to go their anyway, rohan told me to return your mom's dish." sumedh was just as stubborn as mallika. he opened the door of the car and gestured for her to get in.
