|| L O G A N ' S POV ||
I never understood what fangirling was until I met him. To be honest with you, I never understood what love was until I met him, either. There I was - Logan Quinn - seventeen year-old "science geek" who's man crush Monday was Albert Einstein. Well, not really, but you get the point. I was about two steps behind when it came to fads. For example, I got into the rubber band bracelet looming around the time everyone else was throwing theirs in the trash. So when my twin sister, Lilli, dragged me along to meet the "Vine-cuties", I had no idea what she was talking about.
"Ugh, Logan!" Lilli yelled as her feet stomped down the stairs. I glanced up from my half-eaten bowl of cereal to meet her gaze.
Gosh, Lilli was so pretty. There she was: tall, thin, long blonde hair and shimmering blue eyes. Then there I was: short, chubby (even though my mom insists that I'm not), frizzy brown hair, and poop colored eyes. Even though we're twins, Lilli was exactly everything I wanted to be. 'LOGAN!"
"Hm?" I said as I dropped my spoon into the milk, splattering it all over my sweater. Great.
"Are you ready? We have to get going. NOW," she snapped before twirling around in her coral skater dress. "What do you think?"
"Great," I sighed, pretending to actually care about her outfit. "Now let me just run upstairs so I can throw on another hoodie."
"Booooooring," Lilli yawned from behind me as I headed up the stairs. I opened my closet and looked at the empty hangers. Crap, I thought as I realized that I hadn't done laundry the night before. I grabbed my vintage TMNT t-shirt and slipped it on before running back downstairs. Lilli was already in her annoyingly yellow VW Beetle, honking away.
I locked the front door behind me as I ran towards her car. She was on the phone, "fangirling" with her best friend, Grace.
"OH. MY. GOD! Shut up, Grace!" she screamed as she slammed her hand down on the steering wheel. "I can't believe we're meeting Taylor today!" Taylor? Oh, right, one of those boys. "Ew, Loge, you look like a nerd. Oh wait, you are one!"
Lilli backed out of our driveway and headed towards the Neptune Convention Center. It was always great living in a town that has the largest convention center in the state of Oklahoma. After finally finding a parking space, Lilli and I walked towards the front doors.
When we opened them, I was in shock. Thousands of girls - screaming, crying, holding up signs - filled the halls of the building. Lilli, who was now accompanied by Grace, walked over to me and handed me a red bracelet. "Put this on," she said as she slipped a neon green bracelet onto her arm.
"Why is your's a different color?" I asked curiously.
"Because, you said you didn't want to go to the meet-and-greet so I just got you a general admission ticket," she replied coyly. I rolled my eyes and fastened the bracelet around my wrist.
"Attention. Attention. The Meet-and-Greet sessions will begin shortly. Please enter your designated conference room. I repeat. Please enter your designated conference room."
"See ya, sis!" Lilli yelled as her and Grace ran towards the main conference room.
I waved a swift bye before taking my seat at the snack stand. How many more hours do I have left?
