Meaning these is a parallel universe where humans can turn into animals, literally or their bodies are half morphed.

Also there is a hierarchy. Carnivores at the top of the food chain their status are alpha. Then the omnivores, usually betas, then there are the herbivores which is classified as omegas.

There is no distinction between genders both male and female can carry children especially male omegas. Species can also crossbreed however only the dominant genome will define the specie of the child.
