Oh my fucking god its A MIRACLE, I'M WRITING SOMETHING OTHER THAN BOKUAKA, KUROKEN AND IWAOI!
Tbh i never really liked akaken, but now that bokuaka has sort of moved down my leader board of ships, I'm warming up to it.
--------
Kenma and Akaashi's house was quite silent, there wasn't any loud ruckus causes by two idiots, or music playing in the shower. They were both naturally quiet people, especially Akaashi, who respected the fact that the house would need to be silent for Kenma's streaming.
Which is why Kenma loves Akaashi so much, he respects Kenma, and understands him.
But sometimes, a little too much silence can be frustrating.
When they first moved in, Kuroo and Bokuto were over 24/7, making the house completely lively and noisy. But as they started to get a little busier, the house became a quiet place, which was usually the best place to be in their neighbourhood, as their neighbours were very sociable.
"Kenma!" Kenma snapped out of his random thoughts, by Akaashi, who was standing beside him with a tray of mugs.
Kenma rubbed his eyes, he had just been filming a stream for over 12 hours. Sometimes his job as a streamer was a bit exhausting.
"You should stop overworking yourself, go take a nap or something, you need it." Akaashi said, as he put the tray down on the desk and stood behind Kenma's chair, taking his headset off of his head and kissing his overgrown bleached hair.
Kenma laughed, then got up from his seat and took the tray that Akaashi was just holding.
"Is something wrong? You were just sitting there staring at your screen for the past 5 minutes."
"Huh? No, it's fine." He smiled as he pecked Akaashi's lips, then walked out of the room, leaving a concerned Akaashi.
Kenma walked downstairs and to the kitchen, where multiple dishes were stacked in the sink. Kuroo and Bokuto must've been over while he was streaming, Akaashi would never let the kitchen get this dirty on his own.
He sighed, then walked over and set the tray down on the bench and filled the sink with water to wash the dishes.
As he was doing so, a pair of arms wrapped around his waist, and a pair of lips attached to his neck.
"Talk to me, Kenma." He said, although it was a muffled voice due to his face being shoved in his neck.
"About what?"
"Everything, you're always so silent, you never speak, it's like you're holding everything back on your own.. Ever since we started dating you've just never been open about anything."
Kenma sighed, then put his hands on top of Akaashi's, which were still on his waist.
"There's nothing to really talk about, 'Kaashi, honestly."
"Nobody stares at their blank computer screen for over 5 minutes, Ken"
Kenma shifted their position so that he was facing Akaashi, he took his hands in his own and smiled.
"You're worrying over nothing. I just.." Kenma paused
"Take your time." Akaashi squeezed his hand.
Kenma thought for a moment before speaking.
"Don't you think it gets a little too quiet around here? Like, I like the quietness, but sometimes it gets a little.. Annoying."
Akaashi's eyebrow raised in confusion.
"I mean.. I guess so, are you saying that you want Bokuto and Kuroo around more often or something?"
"Hell no, they would bring a happier atmosphere but would probably set the house on fire." The two boys laughed, bullying their best friends behind their back was their specialty.
After the laughter died down, Akaashi smiled lovingly at Kenma.
"What?" Kenma asked
"I don't think you're upset because the house is too silent, I think you just feel a bit lonely."
Kenma's head tilted to the side. He stood there in thought, maybe he was right. Akaashi worked a lot, and when he wasn't working, he would be doing house work. He and Kenma never really get to hang out as much anymore.
"Maybe.." Akaashi giggled, making Kenma smile and wrap his arms around his neck, burying his face into his neck, just as his boyfriend did earlier.
After a few moments of standing in the kitchen hugging, Akaashi pulled away and kissed Kenma's face, from his forehead, to both of his cheeks, to his nose and to his mouth.
"I have an idea."
-
A few days later, Akaashi and Kenma welcomed a small, ginger kitten to their home.
