Chapter 3

*Regulus Black at the top*

Next day

Third-person pov:

Regulus black felt like he was drowning.

What do you do when you are drowning you reach for help. 

So that is what Regulus is doing by standing at the door of the Black manor where his brother lives. He and his brother never hated each other quite the opposite actually he loved his brother. And his brother loves him even if Regulus has doubt Sirius loves his brother and will be there if he needs him.

But Regulus does not know this. That is why he stands at the door hesitating to knock and stop himself from drowning before it is too late. Finally gathering enough courage to knock. The door is opened by his older brother, his mentor, his role model to the displeasure of their dead parents. Before Sirius could get a word in Regulus breaks down in front of his brother the only one he fell he can trust. Sirius brings him into a tight hug."I am so sorry. Forgive me for all I have done. I am not a death eater I can't be them. I can't do what they do. Please brother forgive me for what I have done." Regulus says in between his sobs." Shhhhh you are ok . I got you. You are forgiven you are my little brother. You are my family I will keep you safe. I know you could never be a death eater." said Sirius patting Regulus in effort to calm the sobbing 19-year-old man.

"Come in. Come in," said Sirius urging his little brother in. Regulus walked in his cries turned into sniffles. "We will get you a room to stay in till the war is over," said Sirius walking into the Kitchen getting Regulus a cup of water to help calm him down. "Thank you, Sirius," Regulus said taking the water. He was so caught up in his emotion to notice that Sirius said we and not I. " What do you mean by we'd said Regulus confused. Sirius sighed he knew he would have to tell Regulus the truth since he would be living with them.

" Here sit down. I will explain," said Sirius motioning to the bar stools. Regulus did as asked by his older brother still wearing a confused expression. Now both of the sitting Sirius thought it would be best to just say it and as muggles would say beat around the bush. Muggles are weird thought Sirius who would beat around a bush? Back at the topic at hand thought Sirius. "I am married and have a daughter that is 6 months old," Sirius said with a serious expression. (No pun intended 😉 ) Regulus so surprised spit out his water in surprise to side all over Sirius floor. Sirius taking his wand swipes the mess away with a mixed expression of amused, seriousness, and some disgust.

"Your what and you have a what?" Regulus said surprised. Never in his life would he think that Sirius would have a wife and daughter at this age. Sirius repeats himself hoping Regulus would not react badly he loves his brother and family so much and would hate for his brother to have a bad reaction." Who? When? How?" Regulus was firing question at this point. " My wife's name is Savannah Grace Black Maiden name, Francis. My daughter's name is Ginerva Lily Minerva Black but you better call her Ginny or she will pout and ignore you till you say sorry. This happened about a year ago we got married but we have been together for a little less than 2 years. How? well I and Savannah met in America when I went after school ended and we fell in love."

Sirius could not help but speak fondly of the two girls currently still sleeping on the couch." Can I meet them?" Regulus asked he wanted to meet the woman who made his brother so happy. And he wanted to be an amazing uncle to little Ginny." Of course, you will be living in the same house after all." Sirius said teasing his brother." Glad this war has not changed your great sense of humor." Regulus sarcastically, Regulus was glad to be with his brother not so glad for his sense of humor. 

The two continue to tease and play argue. Till they heard someone. The sound coming from the kitchen doorway." What are two joking about at this time of morning" came the teasing voice of Savannah Black. Both men heads looked and saw Savannah standing there with an amused smile carrying a red-headed baby who was reaching for Regulus much to the man's surprise." Reggie, Reggie, Reggie" the little girl repeated stretching her arms wide for her Uncle Regulus to take her in his arms." How does she know who I am?" Questioned Rgulus he was sure he had never met the little girl before.

" She's different. She can remember anything anyone can tell her and can talk at 6 months old and is really smart for her age we told her about you and showed her some pictures of you," said Savannah. " Can I hold her?" Regulus asks he wanted to meet his little niece and it seemed she want to meet him in person as well." Of course" said Savannah walking over to Regulus and passing the little girl over. Sirius watch the whole exchange with a smile it was true his little girl was truly gifted and he was glad his brother had a positive reaction to Sirius's wife and daughter.

Ginny giggled when reaching her Uncle Reggie's arms. She was glad to see him from hearing all the good things about him from her papa and seeing pictures her mama found. Ginny loved her parents and Uncle Reggie very much. She loved the house-elves as well. Ginny truly had a kind soul and was very smart and kind to all those around her. Ginny snuggled into the warmth Uncle Reggies arms provided. Regulus just held her tighter. Even if the little girl didn't know it she had her Uncle wrap around her tiny baby fingers just by that action.

Sirius and Savannah excused themselves to give the uncle and niece some time alone to go talk in the living room. Regulus and Ginny so caught up in playing didn't even see them leave." I wove you"  Ginny said snuggling more into Regulus's chest. Regulus stop all movement he was overjoyed that the little girl in his arms loves him because he for sure loves her. " I love you to my little bunny," said Regulus holding on tighter to the little girl. The name truly fits little Ginny with her free spirit, energetic attitude, and a kind and delicate soul it just so happen that her hair was styled into two ponytails at the top of her head looking like bunny ears.

Ginny squealed and giggled at the new nickname." I wove it" the little girl chanted over and over. "If you love it so much then I will forever call you my little bunny," said Regulus laughing.
