Cas'/Cassie's POV
All during Dean's interview I had been nervous. I didn't completely trust this Roxie girl yet. When I had read her mind I had found out all about her. Except she somehow had known to visualize a door in front of something. I was determined to figure out what it was. I also had found out all about her past. The poor girl had an awful life in her old world. She had grown up much faster than a girl her age should have to. She had the maturity of 25 year old young woman.
Crowley and Sam made small talk during Dean's interview. I just sat there worrying about Dean. I've been doing that a lot lately. I wonder why.
When Dean came down the stairs he looked tired and stressed. I had promised myself to never read his mind so I was just left with trying interpret his facial expressions and body language. He also looked like he could use a beer. We were in the kitchen so I went to go get him one. When he was on the ground level he came up and approached me. I held out the drink and he reached out to take it from my hand. He gripped it not taking it anywhere near himself. His hand covered mine. I stared into his eyes I was told once that "the eyes are not the windows to the soul, they are the doors."
(AN: Sorry I just had to put a Doctor who reference cause you know it's just awesome. Sorry continue reading.)
So I stared into his green and hazel eyes. They were beautiful. Green as grass with gold put in.
We stayed there for a moment before Dean broke the silence, "Roxie told me to get you and lead you to her room. And thanks for the beer buddy I really needed that." I smiled and nodded as he took the refreshment from my hand. Even after he let go I could still feel the warmth of his skin on mine. He turned and lead me up the stairs to my interview. The trip to her room was a silent one. It was a little bit troubling that Dean looked so dazed after his interview. I would ask her what she did to him when I got inside. The idea of her doing anything made me angry and some other emotion for some reason. We reached the door and he turned to face. He stared into my eyes again and I stared into his. He was so perfect. We stood there for what felt like an eternity before he looked away and opened the door for me. I looked inside and saw Roxie on her bed. I smiled and nodded at Dean to try and reassure him.
"Ah thank you Dean dear. You may go down stairs and join your brother and the king downstairs." He nodded and closed the door.
"What did you do to Dean? Why does he look so strange and tired? If you hurt him in any way I swear I will smite you child!" I was angry at her for Dean's change in appearance.
She sighed, "Dean darling will you please leave Cassie and I here to conduct our little talk. Eavesdropping is very rude and as long as I'm here it won't be tolerated I'm afraid." I heard the quick steps down the stairs that I assumed were from Dean's feet. I could feel my face go red. He had heard all of that? Oh dear.
She shook her head and spoke, "First of all Cassie, you should learn to never start an interview like this until you are sure no one is eavesdropping. And second, you looked into my head. You know who I am, what I've been through, and why I'm here. I let you see all of that so you would understand. Do you REALLY think I would hurt Dean?" She looked a little hurt and I felt sorry for this child again. I shook my head.
"Yes I know your story and I am very sorry and I very much understand. But there is one question I have and only one..." She cut off my sentence before I could ask my question about the door.
"Yes I know you must have a question about that door in my head. We shall get into that in a moment. Now the rules of this interview are, I ask a question then you answer. Then you can ask me a question and I will answer. Ok? Good. Now let's begin. My first question is what is your sexuality?"
"Homosexual," my mouth said "Interesting, I never thought I was gay."
She laughed and said, "Yes, the truth field digs into you subconscious mind to find the truth. It also takes some getting used to. Now for your question to me."
I didn't hesitate "What did the door block?"
"My plans for all of you. I wouldn't want you to get the agenda now would I? Now for my question for you. Well first it makes sense that your gay and not bi because if were bi you would have been interested in Hannah's advances at you. I also suspect April was just compensation and stupidity on your part. So what man would you like to date out of the ones you know?"
My mouth moved for me again, "Dean and only Dean. Oh I guess that is why I keep worrying about him all the time isn't it? Well my question to you is how did you bear what you had to go through?"
She looked down and shook her head sadly, "I am strong. Stronger than most people my age and older. I don't crack easily. Now my question for you is how long have you loved Dean?"
"Since I raised him. When you see someone so vulnerable but still beautiful and strong it is hard not to fall in love with them." I honestly didn't have anymore questions for her. I was also ok with her questions so I didn't ask anything else. She smiled. "That's beautiful Cassie dear. And I can see how it would be hard. I also guess that you have no more questions for me which makes this easier for me. So next question is how did you feel when Dean gave the blade to you to hide from him."
I was kind of getting used to this mouth moving on its own ordeal so I didn't mind when it said, "I felt like I was the one person trusted. Like I was the only one that mattered to him. It was wonderful. Something I have never felt before." It was true. In heaven no one had really made me feel special. No one had the time.
"That is good. I also understand not feeling like I am wanted but well you know that. And now the final question. You are an ancient celestial being, why did you pick the Winchester's to talk to?
"I needed help to find myself and so did they. We all needed a family and I guess we all found one together." It was true I needed a family and so did they.
She laughed and said, "Dear me Cassie! Who knew you could be such a poet. Well unfortunately that concludes out little interview. It was lovely learning about you darling. Now would you be a dear and bring Sam up here?"
I nodded, stood and headed towards the door and to downstairs with Dean... And Sam... And Crowley.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey y'all! So I hope this is ok. There isn't a lot to report really. Just that I hate track season and am NOT a runner. So the usual.
See ya later alligators!
