Five was not the kind to give gifts. So on my birthday I wasn't expecting anything from him.
I was wrong to expect that.
Today was my birthday. I was turning 15. I woke up and tried to get up but two arms were snaked around my waist tightly. I knew it was obviously my boyfriend Five. I slipped out of his arms, careful not to wake him up. One I did that successfully I went downstairs to make myself a cup of coffee.
As I sipped my coffee Klaus came downstairs.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY BESTIE!!" He shouted. He came over to hug me tightly.
"Thank you Klaus." I said, hugging him back.
"I got you something! Wait here!" He said as he ran off. He came back with the most adorable little puppy.
"Klaus! You didn't have to oh my god!" I said as he handed me the puppy.
"Meet Nova." He said as I started to pet her.
"Thank you Klaus! I love her!" I thanked him again and took Nova up so Five could meet her. When I got to Fives room, he was still asleep with his back to the door.
"Five, darling wake up." I said, shaking his shoulder gently. He slowly opened his eyes and looked right at Nova.
"What is that?" he asked.
"This is Nova! Klaus got her for me for my birthday. Isn't she the cutest!" I said excitedly as I put her on the bed. She went up to five and licked his face right on his mouth.
"Disgusting." He said, wiping his mouth. He sat up and gave me a kiss. "Good morning baby."
"Good morning." I said with a smile. Nova got settled in Fives lap and he put on a sweet smile. "Aww you love her." I teased.
"Yeah whatever." He said, rolling his eyes playfully. Then his face lit up. "Baby wait here." He said.
"Okay." I said, confused as he blinked out of his room. I sat on his bed and pet Nova. He blinked back to his room and he was clearly holding something behind his back.
"First of all, happy birthday baby" He said. I kissed his nose as a 'thank you' and he continued to talk. "I wanted to get you something that shows how much I love you and how important you are." He pulled out a beautiful ring. "No this isn't an engagement ring, but it's a promise ring to show that someday we will be married and we can start a family and-" I cut him off with a gentle kiss and then pulled away and wrapped my arms around him.
"Thank you Five I love it!" I said as I pulled away from the hug and placed kisses all over his face. He slipped the ring onto my finger. I admired the beautiful ring that promised our future together.
"I love you baby. So fucking much." He said to me.
"I love you too Five." I said as he pulled me into another kiss.
This was the best birthday ever.
