Chapter Four: Meet The New Boy 2 (Adam)

Bimpe: You slut!

She jumped at Favour and pinned her to the ground but was pulled back by Sammy and the new boy.

Favour: I got to say, betraying you was worth the playdate i just got (she giggled and made a silly face at Bimpe as she stood up and wrapped her arms around the new boy's left arm).

Bimpe: Really? It's not even a real date. It has play in it stupid, play!!

She returned the silly face to Favour who this time tried to hit her but was pulled back by Adam.

(The feeling in the room became very awkward. No one made a move, waiting to see what would happen next. In a flash, Adam walked to Sammy and grabbed the file he was holding).

Adam: Okay.

Sammy: Okay?

Adam: Yeah, okay.

Bimpe: you're not gonna try to deny it?

(He nodded his head before adding "Nope").

Every muscle in the room was relaxed and temperature became cool. They were all about to ask questions when Adam started packing his belongings like he was heading out.

Bolu: umm, what are you doing?

Adam: as you can see I'm packing, I'm done here. Sorry but I'll have to cancel our date, Favour.

He headed out of the room with everything he came with. Everyone was confused and startled as to why he just did what he did.

Favour: Are you guys kidding me?

Everyone turned to look at Favour like she was confused somehow.

Bimpe: What's wrong with you? He's gone, right? That's what we wanted from the start. If it's about the play date, I can arrange one for you with Sammy.

Sammy looked at Bimpe with the "I'm not agreeing to this" face.

Favour: I care about the date but, don't you guys see it? For the first time since he came he seemed down and sad. Even if you guys didn't like him he liked it here. I don't care if you guys don't like him, I'm going to convince him to stay.

She stormed out of the room, running after Adam.

Bolu: She's right, you know? I'm willing to give the guy a chance.

Bolu left.

Sammy looked at Bimpe. Her face began to show signs of remorse and disappointment in herself for the actions she had just taken.

Sammy: Not you too.

Bimpe looked at him and rolled her eyes.

Sammy: I mean, you wanted him out as much as I do, so what should change that now?

She ignored what he said and walked out of the room, joining the rest of the squad. Sammy grumbled then followed her.

When they caught up with Adam, Favour and Bolu were already trying to convince him to stay. Favour was holding his hand tightly while Bolu was trying to pull his bag from his hand. Seeing Sammy and Bimpe, Adam assumed they had come to chase him out so before they could speak he told them he'll be on his way.

Bimpe: No wait, we don't want you to go.

Adam: Really? That's not what I'm getting from grumpy there.

He was talking about Sammy who's face could tell he wasn't agreeing with everyone.

Adam: Listen, it's not about you guys. I failed and I need to return....home.
