We love you, you know that, right?

The question buzzed in his head, filling his mind with all the memories that he had hidden in some far recesses of his mind. The door slammed shut couldn't prevent the fact that they had found him, had actually dared to meet him. All memories that he had been trying to forget and had almost forgotten, or so he liked to believe and convince himself, rushed back. Unconscionably, he began biting his fingernails, a habit that he had long ago forgotten, a habit that he had left behind along with his old life. Despite trying to control himself from shattering, he could not. Double locking the door, Deeks feel down in a heap next to the door, sobbing.

There's no one there to hold you

No one hears your scream

You live life up and down now

Your nightmares are your dreams

All the hurt, all the pain that he had hidden away now came back to the surface. And it was all because of the couple standing at his door. The wounds had been scratched open now. And it seemed that he would never be able to forget again. Never be able to move on with life as he had intended to.

He had got a second shot at life, a whole new brand life, that he wasn't going to just throw away or let anyone ruin it.
