It was March. A beautiful spring day in Blue City. With amazing weather, the skies were more blue than probably any other day here. At Suzy's house, the colorful animals were enjoying this day that might never come again. In the living room, Volt was playing his games wildly, and Lucy had fallen asleep on the couch. Leo was at HQ working on his new quick-growth device.
Leo didn't really need it, but he wanted to test out his new green and blue vial he found on the ground the day before. Sammy and Max, however, were waiting outside the door for a special delivery. Max was waiting right next to the road while Sammy was sitting under the tree, reading his book.

"What's taking so long?!" Max exclaimed.
"I don't have all day for this!"

"Settle down Max," Sammy chided.
"Your delivery won't magically appear, you just ordered it."

"Well if you know that, then why are you outside too?"

"I am enjoying this book outside where it is more peaceful,"

Max grumbled to himself impatiently, but he decided to just wait nicely and go inside for a few minutes. He turned and headed toward the front door, while Sammy glanced at Max walking away, then back at his book, and continued what he was doing.
Inside, Volt was standing on the couch, playing his phone. His thumbs flew across the controls.

"Almost level 21,"
he mumbled excitedly as he stared straight into the screen.

But the thing was, the animals didn't know what terrible thing would happen today.

Analyn walked triumphantly down the onyx colored halls of the base. It wasn't any creepier than the vast forest, but it didn't have to matter. Analyn was 9 when she first discovered the place. When she discovered the Black Opal.
When she first found out about the ruins, she made her home there. Away from all the people who hated her and pushed her away. Even her own family. But since the Black Opal, she has made it her goal to torture everyone just like how she felt.
She has conquered minor villages so far, and she picked the most skilled people to be her guards, and specifically picked people she could use the Black Opal on, and give them a little boost. Analyn was now 14, and she had become the most powerful and skilled fighter out of her legion.
Analyn was graceful, with long wavy blond colored hair, and perfectly black armor. She had no helmet, but she preferred to not have any. And for the Black Opal, she had chucked off a piece of the gem and put it into her brass locket, with a carved eagle drawing on it, so she would have the power of the Opal wherever she was. She walked down the hall and summoned Freya and Liam, her advisors and battle leaders. Well, second leaders.
Freya was 12, pretty young, but smarter than most people her age. Her hair had a medium cut, colored deep black. Liam, was a 13 year old, with golden brown thick hair. Then they appeared from the other end of the hall and walked up to Analyn.

"You have summoned us, General?" Liam started.
"Do you ask for anything?"

"Well," said Analyn, "If I did, I wouldn't even need to ask. I am the General. The one that has given you your assigned powers."

"Yes General," Liam replied back,
"But have you figured out the next village to raid?"

"And will you finally let us see the legendary Black Opal?" Freya blurted out, not even thinking.

"She's obviously not going to let you see it..." Liam murmured to himself as Analyn turned directly at Freya with a stone-hard expression.

"No way!" Analyn yelled, making Freya flinch and high on alert, "You are not to bring up that topic now, while I'm putting a plan in place. And, Liam, we won't conquer a village this time,"

"We won't?" Liam beamed, smiling. "Like, we won't harm anybody?"

"Of course we will harm somebody!" bellowed back Analyn, which ripped off Liam's excited expression.

"So then... what?"

"This time, we will conquer a city. Specifically, Blue City."
