her dreams were beginning to haunt him during the day∘◦ ❉ ◦∘
She heard his screams again.
There were times when Death would listen carefully to the stretch of his voice—the hoarseness, and tear up at the idea of him screaming.
She wasn't supposed to care, hell, this wasn't supposed to happen in her life.
A simple pattern, a simple goal, one she's been accomplishing for centuries until him.
Being human means falling in love, falling in love and destroying every sense of logic you were born with.
But her humanity dies at the age of 16, she should have known better. She should've never loved him.
But she did. Wholeheartedly, unconditionally, surprisingly, loved him with all her might.
Would she die for him? Yes, she would.
But she couldn't.
Because her death is simple and the universe doesn't want it to be complicated.
The universe wants to punish the sun and the moon for their sins.
Blame the universe, blame it all you want, she would whisper to herself.
But perhaps it was always her fault.
